I actually think this is a very shrewd move by the Warriors. Russell needs a bit of fine tuning and he could get that at the Warriors.

Could be a sign and trade deal as the Wolves were interested in Russell.

And now we wait for Kawhi, who has the fate of the 2019/20 season in his hands.

If he signs with the Raptors or Clippers then we have the most open season in at least a decade, with 10-15 teams in with a shot of winning.

If he signs with the Lakers he creates another Superteam who will be the overwhelming favourites to win the title.

I really want him to do the former, not the latter. But God knows what goes through the mind of that man.

AD, Kawhi, LeBron, Kuzma, Iggy would be an insane team (needs a few more backcourt players).

If Leonard wants to win, and he sees the Nets as a big challenger on the horizon, the Lakers are the obvious choice. He doesn't strike me as a particularly ego driven guy. He is driven to win though

@canefan Only Robert Horry and John Salley have won titles with 3 different teams (also Steve Kerr if you including coaching). LeBron and Kawhi might be motivated to join that list!

The Brooklyn situation couldn't have come at a worse time for the Raptors. The balance of power has been upset now. Unless Kawhai thinks he'll stay and roll the dice for a year before KD comes back

Sources: 76ers offer Simmons $170M max deal

Sources: 76ers offer Simmons $170M max deal

Ben Simmons followed his 2017-18 Rookie of the Year season with an All-Star appearance this year.

Ben Simmons about to get paid!! Maybe now he'll take time out from banging Kendall Jenner and start working on an NBA quality jump shot?

Is he? I haven't got a clue what drives him. If it was the pursuit of victory alone, why did he leave the most successful team over the last two decades?

This post season proved he can win wherever the hell he wants to. He's good enough to take a team to the title.

The question is does he want to do it in LA, and then beyond that does he want to have his own team (Clippers) or be third banana to Lebron in arguably the greatest superteam of all time.

He seemed happy enough with the Spurs until they fucked up the management of his injury. Whether that is all we'll never know. But whoever wants him will need to let him know that they are all good with load management. I figure he'll be able to take nights off with AD and LBJ just like in Toronto. But LAL aren't going to be as deep

waaaah, oh petal. So sensitive. Just play you pussy, you're getting paid a fuck load to be the guy, be the guy.

Why would Kawhi be the #3 at LAL? He's better than Davis, and it's a pretty easy argument to make that right now, he's better than LBJ too. It should be his team, with the other two working around him .

I mean, in reality, it's LBJs team and the rest are there to help him and his legacy.

Will all the bitchy little Lebron stans be whinging about super teams now? Or will they go strangely quiet?

@mariner4life these guys are more concerned about their own future than ever before. Just look at KD. I know he was cleared to play by a bunch of advisors, but the Achilles and the calf are connected so there was always risk. I think he was going anyway but the handling of his injury wouldn't have helped.

As far as the pecking order is concerned, Kawhai definitely option 1A. I could see lebron deferring more and more to him to ease the strain on himself

of course they are . This is a players league now, not a teams league. And that's cool, i actually have no problem with it. And the NBA are totally cool with it, because it nearly markets itself.

But I'm going to call you a bitch.

So #KawhiWatch is reaching fever pitch. After meeting the Clips & Laks in LA, he met with the Raps and jumped on a plane to Toronto.

Not since that OJ Simpson road trip across LA has there been a more watched SUV going along a highway moment.

Jalen Rose from ESPN thinks Kawhi will sign a two-year deal with the Raps which means he gets more money on his next deal when he's 30.
