The Equalizer. Denzel Washington is just a man, trying to make his way in the world. He also happens to an unstoppable, remorseless killing machine (despite having the body of your dad). Lionel from Shortland St is the bad russian who never stood a chance.

Karl Urban was a badass Russian in one of the Bourne movies wasn't he?

Its the accent, bro! "Well lookee here! This crazy Aussie feller is talkin' like a Russki! Sign him up!"

think you might have the wrong fella M4L (well wrong SS character anyway?)

Yes Urban was in the Bourne Ultimatum I think it was...

Speaking of Bourne and the earlier dissing of Jeremy Renner, Bourne Legacy was on TV last night, saw it when I was flicking channels.

Karl Urban is a badass in everything he's in. Karl Urban is the fucking man.

Kiwis; good if you need a russian, or anyone brown for Cliff Curtis (South American? Arab? no worries, them brown folks all look the sames to us anyways). Aussies are good if you need talent-less, charisma-less action leads (I'm looking at you Jai Courtney and your mate the brickie, what's his name? Worthington?)

Leonard / Lionel who gives a fuck, it was fucking Shortland St, I'm a little disgusted with myself i even got that close.

That Legacy movie is fucking terrbile. Even the delightful Rachel Weisz couldn't save it.

Or that Hugh Jackman bloke. Yeah fucking ordinary, boring fluffybunny. How he holds the record for "Most Women Percolating In The Nether Regions From a Single Raised Eyebrow" I'll never know. Particularly as his wife looks a right munter (sure she's a lovely person).

At least Chris Hemsworth has a better high classical accent that Karl Urban, but besides that, Urban was fucking good in RED too and I like his work. Made a good Dredd.

Cliff Curtis stars in the walking Dead spin off, however he gets a more challenging role this time, playing a Maori!.

As to the SS reference, I only know Martin Csokas (sp) didn't play that Lionel cat as he was on SS around the time I was flatting with a bunch of chicks who watched it, so even while not paying attention, you unfortunately still picked things up sub-consciously!

Jackman is such a dude, it's impossible not to like the bloke. I wouldn't be unhappy if i looked like that Hemsworth bloke. Plus, he's a fucking great Thor.

Urban was an awesome Dredd, good in LoTR, the best part of that awful Doom movie, not too bad in Star Trek, good in Bourne. He was in The Chronicles of Riddick too (i forgot about that). He's carved out a pretty decent career. And surprise surprise, IMDB tells me he was on Shortland St

Nice try at diversion there, there's no plausible excuse for watching Shortoftalent st. Actually there is one- you lack a functioning penis.

Finally saw the new Mad Max. Not much in the way of plot or dialogue, but visually stunning, a pure propulsive adrenaline rush with a lot of violence. 8.5/10 The guitarist alone was worth the price of admission.

I'm sure in this digital age living in the wide brown land is no impediment to watching SS . I'm just making notes here for future reference , so that's SS and home and away, any thoughts on neighbours?

The missus watches Home and Away. While the quality at the moment isn't as high, the honour role at Summer Bay is outstanding, some serious TV hotties have been through that joint. And as it's set on a beach, they are often not wearing much.

Does neighbours still exist?
