It definitely doesn't look like the type of pitch where you can come out swinging ball one. Whether it is as bad as Taylor just made it look who knows?
It's one thing if CdG or Latham play a rear guard action and makes the pitch look like a 250 deck... But Kane in red hot form has almost faced 100 balls and Taylor 50 and it still looks challenging.
The real question is will our bowlers be able to hit their areas?

Kane is our premier batsmen, he should be able to up the ante regardless of what is happening at the other end. We really needed him to put the hammer down given he'd faced 100 odd balls. Gutted he didn't come off, but we've got a fair bit of hitting yet.
