He put too much pressure on Jadeja. He really should have scored 10 or so more singles in his innings. Still, he has done it so many times in the past so you have to give him credit.

That record they showed though with 47 wins when he is there at the end and what was it 1 or 2 losses, does show that he knows how to get it done.

Yeah, they keep putting up that stat about how many games India wins when chasing and Dhoni is not out. But all the ones they lose would have been like tonight were he leaves it too late and then ends up getting out.

He's long been a batsman who protected his own wicket first, and just happened to have it come off.

I think they timed it almost perfectly. It was a long shot from the outset and they couldn't afford to lose a wicket at any point. If anything Jadeja made a poor call trying to take Boult on in his second last ball instead of waiting for Neesham/Ferguson.

But at 12rpo they needed to move so it was either going to come off or produce a wicket.

That really was an incredible game. A full match played over two days coming right down to the wire to book a place in the final, with the good guys prevailing. You couldn't write a better script than that.
