@Sneakdefreak yeah I have seen this scenario this morning mentioned by several people on social media. Not sure how likely it actually is though.

Paul would work for OKC if they had another go-to player but they have absolutely no one.

Wait......it's all coming to fruition........Adams is about to become a 30-10 player ............

    I'll see myself out

out of the billion trades that have happened all I wanted was Adams to be traded somewhere (ideally the spurs). Instead they literally traded everyone else except him. Fuck sakes.

Wonder if OKC is about to swing a deal with the Lakers so Paul can play alongside his buddy Lebron. Looks like it. Presti is winning this offseason even if his team will suck this season.

Could happen, but the Lakers have a pretty bare cupboard in terms of assets. Kuzma is about it, they don't have a first round pick until 2025 I think.

So they'd have to involve a third team somehow, and I'm not enough of a trade expert to work that out.

@barbarian Kuz and Rondo. At least OKC then would have 3 players in their team.

He will be traded either before the season or if he shows signs that the final 2 months of last season were a blip.

OKC will hold on to Adams so they still have a player on their roster and trade him next season when his contract is expiring. Don't think he's tradable right now unless a team believes he has more offensive upside.

I don't know how buyouts work, but that seems like too big a contract for that

Maybe Paul ends up in Miami? They don't have many future picks, but do have good young players like Adebayo and Winslow.

Detroit is another possibility - bring back Lob City.

Did CP3 and Blake Griffin not get on?

Chris Paul doesn't get on with anyone who isn't Lebron.

How does that help Houston? They probably drop to the 7/8 position in the West now.

Morey is always looking to rejig things, and he is under pressure from an impatient owner. If the rumours are to be believed CP3 and Harden weren't getting on, Russ represents a younger option and an end (at least for now) to the bad blood. Problem is he can't shoot 3's like CP3 could, isn't as adept at assists, and players like him that rely on their physicality tend to fall off a cliff in terms of production

2019/20 rule change: Houston gets to play with two balls to keep Russ & Harden happy.

Russ is a better player than CP3, so on a very basic level the Rockets should be a better team.

Will that actually happen? I'm not sure.

    ESPN article about OKC.

The rise and fall of OKC, the NBA's small-market miracle

The rise and fall of OKC, the NBA's small-market miracle

With Russell Westbrook and Paul George gone, the next era of OKC basketball sends the franchise somewhere it has never been.

I think this is great news for the Rockets and in particular Harden. Harden will adjust his game as will Westbrook.

Looks like OKC can't move Chris Paul immediately, and both sides are receptive to the idea of him staying until AS break or even for the season. This is great news for Steven Adams who should be a major beneficiary of CP3's assist abilities
