I was skiing in Glacier National Park in early June 2001 and we stopped for lunch on a ridgeline which had taken us about an hour to crest.
A wolverine came up and over 'our ridge' and up and over the next valley before I had time to finish my sandwiches.
Incredible.

We were shitting ourselves as it was heading straight us.
Smelled us, saw us, totally ambivalent, sauntered past about 30 yds away.
No fucks given. By it obviously.
We were like family and friends hiding behind the settee waiting to jump out for a birthday surprise.

In my big cats heirarchy snow leopards and cougars are near the top.

We still on predatory felines, or moved on to predatory females? Things tend to drift toward females around here.
Can be a bit hit or miss on the cougar scene but get a good one and...…….happy days
