1 week of travelling for work and i was able to squeeze in a couple of movies.

Black Mass - good flick, enjoyed it, but not quite a Donnie Brasco

Legend - its in the name. Great movie, Tom Hardy brilliant in the dual Cray Twins roles, you believed they were two different people. Some laugh out loud moments, and a couple of those moments are ultra violent and you kinda feel dirty. My movie of the year

Ted 2 - Funny as fuck, funniest movie I've seen in a long time. Immature as hell, most jokes about infantile things, some quick one liners and some good stoner action. Brilliant. 9/10 only because the hot chick isn't a patch on Mila Kunis.

Bad Neighbours - All of the above, but not quite to the same level. Worth watching though, Rogen is quality. 7/10.

The Interview - Next tier down from the bad neighbours.. not bad, but not good either. 5/10.

Point Break - Awesome, Commando - Awesomer.

Also, watched the Austin Powers trilogy recently. Man that Mike Myers is one talented bastard. Austin, Evil, Fat Bastard, Gold Member... genius at work.

Also saw Black Mass, thought Depp was incredible, very good movie but agree not quite top of the pile.

Very keen to see legend, Cray brothers had a wee bit of involvement in Balham where I lived in London and heard some stories in a couple older pubs, also randomly met a guy at a bar in New Plymouth who was in Balham at that time and ran into one of them

Saw the martian, enjoyed it but just like Saving private Ryan I can't see myself risking my life for Matt Damon so bit hard to relate there.

Legend was good, a bit long, Hardy was great though. I really don't like the female lead, there is something about her that annoys me so I wasn't really invested in her character so some of the story beats were missed on me.

I don't rate it as highly as dk does - it's behind The Martian and Black Mass of recent movies.

Vacation - Christina Applegate, Leslie Mann (both of whom are tidy) Chevy Chase (looking rather fat) Ed Helms and Chris Hemsworth

National Lampoons Vacation gets a reboot as Rusty Griswald wants to recreate his family holiday to Wally World with his family...silly as f@ck, but I was chuckling away at plenty of juvenile shit!

Hidden - no names, a husband, wife and daughter live underground in a shelter hidden away from the world and the 'breathers' that hunt them. I liked this one! Knew nothing of it, and thought it was a pretty cool twist on the genre (as with most movies, some dumb plot holes, but for the most part, was good)

If you want simple, effective, well made thriller, then it's hard to go past Blue Ruin. 90 well shot minutes of tension.

The Martian was great. I've been a fan of the book for ages, so much so I made my wife read it too.

Movie was about as good as they could have done it, obviously most of the detail drops out. May even be worth reading the book first.

I've missed that boat now, might leave it 6 months or so before reading the book.

Terminator Genisys - lets milk this franchise for all its worth...bit of a mind fuck with additional character time travel crossing lines of travel in previous movies

That said it was ok..was waiting for dragons to appear though.

Watched Ant Man tonight. Not bad for a superhero franchise. A few laughs a few bits that didn't make sense and a few cheesy bits. Paul Rudd makes another varied personality I wonder if he'll make an avengers movie.
