@jegga and Netflix doesn't care about that site at all. If people watch the specials they'll keep making them and Chappelle will keep making millions.

This is why you should never trust 'Rotten tomatoes' for reviews.

    0% for Chappelles hit special.

Watched the Chappell special. Some of it was the funniest shit I have seen in a while, some was just good.

The entire Michael Jackson bit may be one of the best crafted jokes I have seen.

I enjoyed it too. Hard to believe he's Greg and Ian's brother. What a talented family.

I watched some of Chapelle and Harts stuff on Netflix, Chappelle is bloody good, some of Harts stuff is a bit average but some really funny stuff in there too.

Bill Burr's new special came out yesterday I think. Haven't seen it yet but I'm sure it will raise a few eye-brows from the usual suspects. Reckon he is my #1 at the moment.

It was fine. Had some good laughs in it, particularly when he talks about his relationship with his wife.

Oh and he's right about the sex robots.

Some of his jokes are a little underhand so a family resemblance of sorts.

There's funnier stuff happening on on podcasts. I'm amazed this thread has gone on this long with out @tim mentioning his love for Nick Mullen. I think Shane Gillis will get a similar following in a year or so

Gillis is breaking through already. He's just been added to SNL

Yes SNL is lame but it still has good ratings.

It's a relatively brave choice for them. There's already calls for him to be sacked (he was hired today). It's impossible that NBC didn't know about his humour before hiring him.

..and they sacked him before he started

Gillis probably does well out of this whole thing. He got mildly famous for a week and he doesn't have to do tediously repetitive skits on live tv

    Kevin Harts 'Seriously Funny' was!

    By far his best one.

I've actually been listening to these when driving (given very little of stand up comedy are visual - even though there are bits you know he is doing something) which makes it amusing when you adriving along cracking up at something, my wife commented the other day when I pulled into the drive way asking what I was laughing about!

Comedy's Civil War: How an 'SNL' Firing Exposed a Growing Rift in Stand-Up

    [...]

Like every other aspect of American life in the Trump era, stand-up is turning polarized, pitting comic against comic in an escalating civil war over what's acceptable humor and what's unfunny hate speech. "You millennials, you're a bunch of rats, all of you," Gillis defender Bill Burr snarled on David Spade's Comedy Central show. "None of them cares. All they want to do is get people in trouble."

Comedy’s Civil War: How an ‘SNL’ Firing Exposed a Growing Rift in Stand-Up

While many cheered Shane Gillis' NBC dismissal four days after he was hired, a slice of the community sneered, revealing an increasing divide over what’s legitimate envelope-pushing and what’s "just plain racist."
