My outback setup was very amateur compared to that. I only had 160 litres of fuel capacity.

Maybe this is what NTA needs to get Mrs NTA camping although given that it's probably not "too hot" for 364 days of the year he may not get his money's worth

Was yours a land cruiser too? I guess being in the trade like him is an advantage and having the mrs behind the project is very lucky and cool.

Nah, I had a GQ Patrol. Solid as a rock, being basically a truck chassis and drivetrain. Heavy as hell too and I was very lucky that I was able to get all of my petrol 'sans tax' as it only did about 6km to the litre.
Towed an off-road camper trailer with it. Great fun. Did one big trip from Canberra across the Hay, through Mildura, up the Clare to the Flinders, across the Oodnadatta track, up the Edge of the Simpson to Alice, down the Finke river Gorge to Uluru, then back by Tarmac.
The next year, went up from Broken Hill to Innamincka and across to the Dig Tree then up through inland Queensland and over to the coast.

That sounds cool , you've never done a trip like that here? I like the Aussie 4wd scene with the trailers, I guess they have more space to do it.

Isn't quite as much scope here unless you go with a club that has organised use of tracks through farms etc. Oz just has endless dirt to play in.
Get a lot of use out of the trailer still. Use it every summer and the good thing is you are pretty self sufficient so even at campgrounds you don't need power. DoC camps are pretty good. You can pull up and be set up and sitting down with a beer in 30 minutes. Quicker if only stopping for the night and you don't unpack as much.

It reads out the answer one digit at a time, it's a shit load of zeros. Siri gets tired during it and sounds like she's running out of batteries.

They start scrabbling for the volume then try to find a way to stop it. It's hilarious
