It's a very bad omen for the Spark's service when you visit the Spark Sport website when no games are on to explore signing up.... and you just get met with a blank black screen in your browser...
So far I have no regrets in not signing up.
New pub opening up in Matamata next week which will be showing the games which will be enough for me.

That sounds expensive, I would double my entire RWC subscription cost in one mild night at the pub watching the rugby (4 pints and a plate of something).
Although, I of course will be doing a bit of both anyway ....

@Bovidae although this one is live anyway, so maybe people will watch TV1 meaning there will be less load on Spark than is likely tomorrow....
Definitely.
This is a useful graphic about the picture quality via different devices on SS.

I have the app on a Sony OLED with an Android OS and also an Apple TV 4K. The Sony’s app is practically unwatchable, the Apple TV One is alright. If they say it’s 1080p well OK but it’s not as good a picture as Sky’s 1080i.

That was my impression too watching the Japan-SA game on an ATV. We can compare with TV1 picture quality.

Mate hass just said TV news is reporting Spark customers in some areas (Whitianga, Havelock North, etc) being asked to upgrade their internet package or watch elsewhere after purchasing the RWC package. What's the goss?

Mmm I have a Sony LED 4K TV, that doesn’t sound promising. Will find out tonight...

Well, the streaming I'm getting from Spark is top notch, HD-quality and smooth as a baby oiled rugby ball
-
Like others I found the coverage good. Bring on tonight!

2min to sign up and tested the Japan game. Quality was fine and stoked our hdmi cable wasn't one of the blocked ones.
Time to start amping for the game tonight!!
