Very fucken happy, keeps our pool victories going and a great confidence injection for the team. Our D was very good bar The enormous hole at the ruck for their try. SA could have scored a few other times but the AB scramble was great.

Very happy with the forward intensity and lots of good hits, players were very energetic getting back in the line. Also first game for awhile with no stupid fucken penalties, pat Moody on the back.

Really looking forward to relaxing for the rest of pool play and watching some good games.

Well that was a strange game. From where I was sitting ABs D was either very good or the boks lack real imagination. Probably more the latter. Barrett is an incredible rugby player but a poor FB.

Main difference was your loosies. Live, It does not look like you’re missing a traditional blindside. Take Ardie or Barrett off the field and you probably lose that game.

Take Faf off and you probably don’t get any go forward.

Also should say Mo’unga was very solid at 10. Very pleased for him, that was a big test with a lot of pressure and he stood up. Will only improve as the cup goes on.

And what other team isn't? Ireland, Wales, England, Oz. They all have a very set game plan, one dimensional is the norm. So that's all we need to do, great one dimensional teams who don't have the same skills to ABs level. But they can stifle us, and the boks failed at that. We took a bit to get going but no nervousness after the first quarter

If that's as good as the boks get there fucked. It's the first game. Look how we did vs Argentina last time. Perfectly within the long term plan

Don’t underestimate what the NH teams will bring
Our scrum with the reserve props was poor we missed too many first up tackles
We kicked too much ball away
All things that may cost us unless we get better in those areas

At this stage I would have ALB/Crotty midfield start again vs Boks. Goodhue will really have to show something special to break into the match day 23.

@Chris yes one way I agree, we'll have to get better. But we will. I'd put money this is the best performance of the first round., Tier 1 vs tier 1. And our next 3 games will be average, as the coaches straightjacket the team to test them. And we'll get to the final, not saying well win it, but we're the best team by a good margin

@Chris I thought A Smiths box kicks were much better than Faf, most of ours were contested. apart from one or two we did very well defusing the box kick which is promising going forward.
