<p>I remember not even being all that happy after the last World Cup final, had a massive tension headache and collapsed in bed in relief. Was a horrible game to watch with only a one point lead. Hopefully we smash the Aussies and I can actually enjoy the final this time.</p>

<p>A few years back, Otago hadn't won on Eden Park for something like 30 years. They were up by 13 points with 90 seconds to go.... and they lost (I think Joe Rok scored at least one of the tries).</p>

<p>It was 1996. A young M4L was in the stands watching BOP play for the Shield, expecting a fun day in Auckland, and some beers afterwards. Suddenly, holy shit! There is 8 minutes to go, and we are up by 18!!! Fucking come on!! Of course Auckland came right back, but not back enough, 80 minutes, we're still up by 6! And it's our scrum feed!! Win the scrum, kick it out, take home the shield!! I'm cheering and laughing and it's an unbelievable day. Wait, what? holy shit, no! they couldn't, could they? Carrington? You fucking traitor!! Miss the kick you fluffybunny. Tero. Noooooo!!!! Fuck you rugby gods, why?!!!</p>

<p>Oh gawd, I remember that. 1997, cos me and a bunch of people were huddled around a radio in a tiny uni hall of residence room. Everything was great until it wasn't, and we were all staring at each other going what the fuck just happened.</p> -
<p>I worked at the Outback that night, at the time it was the biggest night ever after it, jesus people pumped through some piss. At the end of the night the back chiller contained the kegs on the tap, and one carton of Purple Goanna, everything else had been pumped through. </p>
