Pies have been replaced by smashed Avo on toast.

both absolutely have their place.

@mariner4life agree.
That is sad though, I'd actually like to read more but that article is "premium" content and it'll be a cold day in hell before I sign up to that shit on the Herald.

Even on the same plate is good for me.

They might be able to trade their way out ? There’s a lot of very good pie makers in NZ though , even the gas station ones are pretty good these days

Maketu pies have never been the same since they expanded into supermarkets etc. As a regional pie maker they were in the right niche. Its a highlight of travelling around the regions grabbing a local steak pie
Try Savan's bakery when going through Warkworth. Won heaps of awards (possibly even best in NZ IIRC) and they are really good pies. They are even in some of the local petrol stations.
How the fck does this happen? "Stupid shit you see on the internet" has turned into a discussion about pies - which is a very serious matter!

People started going missing there in 1976 ? Jesus @Snowy tell then where the bodies are, those families need closure .

@No-Quarter not sure if all libraries offer it, but when I log into my account I 'could' read the herald online content....
@machpants am sure the new 'holiday highway' will solve all those problems.
