I'm running out of Pirate Life IIPAs. Might be time to turn in for tomorrow.

Up around 6, smash some water & a banana. 90 minutes run, back around 45 mins to kick off. Time make some coffee, pancakes for kids and poached eggs on avocado and tomato toast, finished off with fresh chili, basil.
Watch England vs Australia with 2 of my brother in laws, drink some water and cheer on ... well, nobody actually.
Finish game, slice up some fresh fruit for me and the kids. Discuss game, then settle in for AB's game.
2 mins into AB's game. Probably take a shit.
Rinse, repeat above line every 2 mins.Cheer / Cry.

Got it all wrong. Few too many last night, combined with rich food means I blasted all my shits pre match 1.
Made the breakfast whilst watching match 1. Got in 75 min run between.
Worked well, will repeat next week.

Well that was a glorious afternoon / evening.
The pub had a dodgy feed that kept freezing but given the games weren't close it kind of added to the fun - lots of "oohhhhhhh"'s and "yeeeaaaahhhh"'s as we froze then caught up.
There were about 15 kids there for the early game, most wearing Australian / Irish / English supporter kit, each of them glued to phones and iPad's. Most buggered off home after the Australia game.
My lad was decked out in his AB kit and sat at the corner of the bar for both games, watching every second of the footy - didn't ask for his ipad or phone once. He even had a few sips of my beer with the observation "that's quite nice".
Never been so proud.

Despite drinking all the IIPAs and then opening a bottle of shÅchÅ« I feel remarkably good.
That would be the same bottle I was gifted in Japan and told my wife she couldn't open after finishing her sparkling as her palate wasn't clean...

Same same, I'm solo from 2pm this avo til Friday night. I'll be taking a light touch to the role today. Kids can entertain themselves with a movie while i watch the game replay, then I'll spend a couple of hours in the kitchen cooking up few meals with a bottle of red.
Looking forward to 2 games of quality code tonight with no stress.
Working from home tomorrow.

Coffee early, breakfast burritos (bacon hash brown egg rice etc), build something outside, cruisy morning at the Italian festival in Newmarket, first cricket practice fo the year for NZZP Junior, about to collect him and get back onto a crafty beer or two.
Plan for tonight is steak, chips and a nice aussie shiraz, followed by Wales France. Will be O for Awesome, love me some quarter final weekend.
