Watched Ant Man tonight. Not bad for a superhero franchise. A few laughs a few bits that didn't make sense and a few cheesy bits. Paul Rudd makes another varied personality I wonder if he'll make an avengers movie.

Watched Jurassic World on the weekend. Great fun. Best monster fight ever! Yes it's stupid as hell, but jesus, it's about a park full of dinosaurs created in a lab, it's not like it's marketed as a gritty thriller.

Chris Pratt is an excellent action star. Charisma, a jaw line, and a sense of humour. Awesome. Him riding a motorbike flat chat through a jungle, at night, hunting a giant hybrid dino-monster, using his trained raptors, may just about be the coolest thing i have ever seen.

BDH isn't too shabby looking in this either, her rack looks fantastic.

I'm torn between that and the raccoon firing a machine gun in his last movie. The fact he had trained velociraptors running along side him probably tips it though.

Also sales of marlin 45/70 lever action guide guns has increased since then. My son has been saying "can we get one dad, please?". I mean look at that thing.

Inside Out. Thought it was excellent, if a little emotional at times! Very clever idea for a movie.

Watched Glen Campbell: I'll BeMe, about Glen Campbell (yes the 70s country singer) on his "farewell tour". For those who don't know Campbell was diagnosed with Alzheimers in 2011 and he went on what he knew would be his last tour. It's a tough watch, seeing a guy watching movies of himself and asking "who's that" and playing a song called "I'm not gonna miss you", written in the knowledge that soon he simply wouldn't miss anybody as his mind slowly went blank. But he still had a sense of humour and about the only thing he can still do well is play a guitar. And boy can he do that but you get the sense the only reason is that he's done it so well for so long that it requires no thought.

It could be just about the saddest film I've ever watched, but ultimately quite brilliant.

Edit: Available on Netflix

    Saw Bond.

Despite mixed reviews I've gotta say I really enjoyed it. At least three awesome chases, an iconic tough fluffybunny henchman in the vein of Jaws/Odd job/Tee Hee and an even more iconic lead villain played by Christolph Watlz. I personally don't reckon he is an amazing 'actor' as such but despite being softy spoken and not having physical presence he exudes menace like no other. M and Q are particularly superb support to Bond too. I hope the rumours are incorrect and Craig doesn't hang up the holster but it seems like Connery he has grown to despise the role. Oh, and there's a bit of a twist too......

Monica Belluci isn't in it for long but more than enough time for M4L to whip one out and then wipe it on the seat in front of him.
