Jessica Jones - another Marvel/ Netflix series in the Daredevil 'universe'. Getting some quite good reviews.
 
The Last Kingdom - adaptation of the Bernard Cornwell Saxon series. Getting very good reviews.

Yeah I thought that sounded good, hadn't looked at the latter but sounds like it could be a good 'un.

Not bad at all but less so if you're a fan of the books as they miss out some important tuff in the interest of fitting the longer story into the shorter format. However good adaptation and production values for a BBC series that isn't Downton Bloody Abbey.

I thought it was Glenn, but it isn't. 
Is it those 2 that took Darryls stuff, either in trouble or using the call as bait for those other guys? 
Or is it simply Darryl, Sasha and Ginge have caught up with the current timeline and it is someone in Alexandria that has made the call with the building falling onto the wall and they need help?[/spoiler]

Well there's kind of a love triangle with the certifiable Enid and his dad killed the kids father. 
This is kind of the same plot line as the book now, sashas hit but rosita is hotter and the big ginger was doing well to score her in the first place

I loved the first two Ash vs Evil Dead episodes. Its tailed off unfortunately. Watched first episode of Jessica Jones... thought it was a bit ordinary but I must admit to being over the Marvel franchise. Hoping it picks up. Watched the first few episodes of Limitless... cant stand the lead character, he's too much of a smug schmuck. Probably wont stick with it.

Started watching Hannibal and Peaky Blinders recently are hearing good things about both.
 
Hannibal I've found to be pretty average, I don't really like the set up of how he becomes the criminal at the scene and have fond myself playing a lot of scrabble on my phone when watching.
 
I'm loving Peaky Blinders, I'm about mid way through the first season and it's on automatic start the next episode when I finish the first.

I think I'm about 8 episodes in, is that past where it gets better? (That way I can decide whether to keep going, as I really should watch The Walking Dead so I don't have to avoid half the posts on this thread).

I liked Hannibal, good watch (not a must watch kinda series like TWD, GOT, The Americans) although it did get tiresome about half way through the final series!

Caught the first few minutes of into the badlands , some hottie was cutting up a bunch of guys with about 8 different knives. Lots of matrix style violence, unfortunately is seemed a bit same old after that .
 
It was like Summer Glau going nuts in firefly but with way more blood and smaller knives, more of that and less talking would be nice.

I remember not being too impressed with the first season but I thought the second season was excellent.

2nd season is definitely better. IIRC, the last three episodes of Hannibal are a step up?

Does anyone here have Apple TV? The mrs has suggested we get another way of watching tv I don't use to go with Netflix and light box . Worth getting ? Easy to set up?

Depends on what you want it for. The new one is apparently more powerful and can do more but, like many products NZ doesn't reap the full functionality anyway.
 
I have an older one and it has been great as a way of connecting my other Apple devices to my TV eg if you see something on your ipad or phone that you want to share on the big screen, it just airplays across.
 
It works well (on a good connection) for watching movies from iTunes (at their prices obviously) and the Netflix app works well.
With a VPN or DDNS you can trick it to being in the US and use a US Netflix account if you want.
 
NZ suppliers of product eg TVNZ OnDemand and TV3 on demand and Lightbox, for some reason, won't/ can't get apps on it. The OnDemand ones also won't Airplay stream from your device to the TV due to supposed licensing restrictions, although I think it is more to do with deals with Smart TV manufacturers. Lightbox currently doesn't stream because the numpties there didn't notice that iOS9 changed the airplay protocols to AppleTV and weren't prepared for the change.
 
If you don't have other Apple devices and just want to stream then look at a Chromecast stick instead. If you want to access all of your Apple media such as music and photos, hire some movies, watch some Netflix and Airplay from your iphone/ipad then it does the job.
