Have to wonder if Teariki Ben-Nicholas turned down the Canes? Or not offered a spot?
This one makes me as upset as when we let the Highlanders take Lima Sopoaga from us. -
So apparently according to Avan Lee, the Canes already have someone in line as a first five signing for 2021, couldn’t sign him this year for contract reasons. My first bet is that Otere Black will come back to the Canes.
Also, does anyone know if there will be WTG players this year?

@Canes4life For 2021, I wonder whether Lee was referring to Sopoaga (who'll come off contract at the end of the 2019-2020 season.
They don't seem to publish the names of players on a development contract, unfortunately. I usually look at photos of social media; sometimes that gives you a clue.

@Stargazer hopefully it’s him .I happened to notice that he was playing 10 and Gopperth at 12 for Wasps on the weekend which I found an interesting concept.

@mikey07 I'm only happy if it's Sops, if he will be able to increase his workrate. I haven't watched him play for Wasps, but his last season at the Landers wasn't good at all. Completely switched off.
