Boult gone for the day apparently, pain in his right rib and getting an MRI.

Stokes dragged on. I think we need at least another one this session.

I think 1/2/4 wickets per session is do-able, but it's asking a lot to get five in the last session with Denly, Pope and Buttler to get through - and Curran, Archer and Broad all able to hold a bat.

And Wagner clips Denly on the gloves caught behind given on review - here we go, here we go.

Would be great to get one more before tea!

    Agreed.

I was thinking this morning that the target would have been two wickets a session with 3 in the third. England would have given themselves a 'budget' of one in each session.

Got number two for the session! Denly caught behind off Wags.

Speaking of good catches - Santner takes a screamer to remove Pope.

Wags doing the job for us yet again. Is he the most underrated bowler in test cricket at the moment? It feels like everyone always writes him off as 'just' short stuff, like any batsman worth his salt won't be troubled by him at all. Yet match after match after match he breaks down teams with the old ball doing exactly what they were expecting.

I don't know about that, it utterly deceived Pope.

The other thing about the catch was that Santner took it with his right hand.

This is what the English get for rejecting the Pope in 1532...

Not offering a shot to a yorker that hits leg.

Yep, all those balls getting your eye in worked a treat.

I just wonder if he might have been expecting a short one! 🙂

Amazing what some 'dibbly dobbly' bowling can do ....

I am amazed the Poms arent 200 ahead without loss on this pitch so bad it has let down this test match occasion.....

Hopefully Archer will also take the kamikaze approach in a minute. They look to have thrown caution to the wind.

We just need to take advantage of that.
