Amazing how they can take a simple rugby jersey and try to justify why it looks shit.

Was this only a training Jersey? One of the better looking ones IMO.

Common sense would suggest that the away jersey or training jersey should incorporate the colours of other provinces within the franchise if they aren't featured in the main jersey.

We use to have a jersey with those maroon stripes on the shoulders. No cambridge blue on it though.

@Dice that's the 2000 jersey so maybe it was designed in 99 when Northland was still a Chiefs territory then they switched and didn't wanna redesign.

@Yeetyaah They switched from the 1999 season. I actually went to a Chiefs home game (vs NSW) at Albany.

I'm willing to wager a substantial sum that marketing tried to justify that horrid design rather than went to a designer with those words first.

The person responsible for that should have their crayons taken away.

The Chiefs were meant to be based in Harbour. Most of the unions that made up the Chiefs wanted Hamilton and they won an appeal against the NZRFU

The shorts and socks look good though...

Seeing Beaudie in a Blues uniform makes me feel a little better about the jerseys. It's too bad we have to win our title(s) in this jersey though.
