Awesome try from Waaka! Nothing wrong with the BFs attack; defence is a problem at times.

    FT: Fiji 10 - 24 New Zealand

The BF7s are through to the Cup semis, where they'll meet the winner of Russia v USA, so probably the USA.

The Ferns will have to play a lot better if they want to reach the Final.

    The SF starts at 11.36pm.

After a try to Regan Ware, the AB7s lead 12 - 0 at half time.

They need to be more careful, because Perry Baker was close to intercepting the ball twice and there's no way they can stop him from scoring if he succeeds the next time he tries.

Is there no-one that can straighten the attack?? Hard and direct always wins the day

Great team try. McGarvey-Black gives it to Collier.

That was a good example of the commentator's curse. The commentators were saying how happy the AB7s would be with keeping the USA without points and then, in the last play, the USA score.

    FT: New Zealand 26 - 5 USA

The AB7s are trough to the semis! They'll play England at 12.00am.

@Stargazer yeah as soon as KT said it, I cursed him and USA got the penalty, end of story.

Our attack is horrible, especially when Baker has such a bad game. No one seems to be on the same page most of the time - a playmaker will stretch the defence and create space but then have to unload to someone standing still or 10-15 metres back while the defence just drifts past him.

Luckily we're creating points from aggressive defence.

@Bovidae He's a bit hot and cold. He can be terrible for minutes and then suddenly score a brilliant try. I can't stand him though.

@Stargazer Baker will cost us more games than he will win. And yes, he's a dickhead.

I don't know why Knewstubb was subbed on so late.

I wonder why they hardly gave game time to Knewstubb in this game. He came on in the last minute of the game. Keeping him fresh for the next game?

Yeah it was a bit of a weird side, Rayasi hardly seen too. Think they'd spotted how crap USA are and looked to keep some fresh legs.

Good old dry powder makes a return.
