Good work Blundell - he's out-batted Burns already!

Take these little wins where you can get them! 🙂

Full delivery bounces over the keepers head.

That said, the keeper is standing too close.

Starc trying to keep it full and do Blundell for pace like he's a tail ender. That tactic certainly worked against Jeet, Blundell looks like he can at least handle the full quick delivery a lot better.

Despite the belief that NZ batsman can't handle 150kph, we do actually have fast bowlers in NZ who can bowl that, so NZ batsmen have had some practice.

I agree that we have those bowlers, but not a lot of experience facing that sort of pace on these sorts of wickets.

@mariner4life Hussey doesn't really annoy me too much - but, I'm usually making coffee or getting a beer from the fridge when we cross to the cricket lab. 🙂

Agree on Mark Waugh - according to his brother, when Mark was walking off after scoring a century in his his first test he looked up at the players enclosure and said to Border - "I told you so - you should have picked me earlier", so I'm not really expecting him to take many prisoners.

Cleaning up the tail, but too little to late.

Can’t stand Hussey. To me he’s playing the Slater cheer leader role.

Good thing here is that it's certainly not hooping around and there's not really been steepling bounce - maybe apart from that one NQ noted.

Blundell went too hard at that one.

    Showed some nice signs though.

Probably not the shot for the occasion, Tom.

Still - we're going to get past 26 and I'm inclined to think he's done better than I would have expected from Jeet.

With 15 runs he’s probably solidified his spot in the tests side for the next two years at least....

People criticising O'Keefe obviously never listened to him on the ABC. Laughing at his jokes is his schtick. There is absolutely nothing arrogant about it though. Heaps of his humour is self-depreciating. He will talk about how he is the least penetrative bowler in test history (has the highest ratio of wickets as catches).

I don't think Raval would have got those runs.

Our batsmen might look a bit better facing 20 km/h less...

Cummins is like McGrath but 5 - 10km faster. Very classy operator.

@hydro11 I liked K O'K on the radio and I like his humour.

But, I don't think he does an even-handed commentary on TV.

That pace difference is a huge difference - but, these guys won't sustain express pace into their later spells.

It's vital that Kane and Latham stick it out here - take the shine off the ball and the sustain this initial burst, and we can settle in.
