Cricket: NZ vs Aus

I'm watching Smithy on a pisstake show called The Professors Night Watchman. And he's killing it. Just a genuine, funny bloke.

Fairly even first day.
Australia scored some runs but we knocked off the bulk of their batting.
We could potentially clean up the remaining 7 wickets this morning and be batting after lunch.
The plan from the Black Caps will be to bat big and bat once. Say we bowl out Aussie for 400 this morning then we should look to score 600 or so and then roll them in the second innings with our 2 pronged spin attack on a turning pitch.
Our path to victory seems fairly straightforward.

Apparently Jeet Raval has also gone down with the flu, so Fulton has his whites on in case he needs to field.
Edit: Somerville has also injured his non-bowling hand (split webbing).

@Godder looking at the positives, Raval’s average won’t drop even lower if he can’t bat.
But jeez, tour from hell alright! It’s like the bad old days when our quicks would drop like flies.

Either Stead is covering for Kane and or Timmy or he's full of shit. Timmy was reportedly not happy at being left out

Guessing that Timmy's dropping was planned in advance based on not being good enough and wanting to give him a wake-up call, only for them to have to scramble to continue to justify it after everyone broke down.
@Godder agree mate but 12 wickets at 26 in two thrashings would've put him at the back of a line of wake ups I'd have thought
.I fear the meddling of the "numbers" from sports science.
Either way, however you stack it, there is no decent justification for dropping timmeh 30 minutes before the start of such a big occasion for NZ cricket. Scary madness
