@Smudge still better than my day...got one place at decent odds to keep me in the game.

Oh trust me, they were all very happy. I put in $30, so got $270 back. The winner of the last was actually the worst result of the 5 runners we had on our ticket for the last leg, but we didn't have 2nd, so quite happy with that outcome. We did have the 3rd-placed horse in our selections, which would have meant a $250 return for each $10 share, but more than comfortable with the result.

Some Do is in R4 tonight at Alex Park. Good each way hope in a smallish field.
Shame the run didn't pan out. The driver was damned if he stayed in on the markers (would have got shuffled back) and damned when he did what he did and went up to sit parked. Fought on well enough for 5th though after taking the lead on the turn.

Still 'hardly' punting here as holidays. Did land a nice 3 leg place multi at Ellerslie tho thanks to NZ Tab paying 4 places on a few races. Such a lovely offer!

it was spastically hot here this weekend, so i floated around the pool drinking beer and watching the races. So i punted. Half-heartedly i will admit, but it still resulted in me giving money to bookies.
Had Causway Girl held on it would have been a completely different story. Should have each-wayed...

I hate that. We have a 'friend' who always texts us after the fact. He punts really big and you hear about it when he wins. It's tedious as we all know he takes a hammering from the TAB

Whether he'll get enough game time is a significant question, but he was eighth on the table last year from just 8 games.
