Big call. Clemson player called for targeting, and is ejected. LSU score on the next play.

    and that's game.

Clemson can't do anything on offense, the LSU defense has them locked down all of a sudden. And now the LSU offense is opening them up at will. It's super one-sided.

I feel sorry for Burrow, who will go from the euphoria of a National Championship, to the despair of being drafted to the Bengals.

Wasn't close in the end. Burrow is a Ohio native so a return home might appeal. At least at the beginning

Enjoyed that, great first few quarters. Clemson started with a hiss and a roar, and LSU looked lost. But then holy crap, what a series of plays from Joe Burrow... great game, was all over after the targetting call.

This year (post-christmas) the NFL and then NCAA has been full of fantastic games. Awesome fun

Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly announced on Tuesday that he is retiring from the NFL at the age of 28.

I'd expect Cam Newton to be playing elsewhere next season and for the Panthers to be hitting full rebuild mode.

It's between him and Bobby Wagner for best inside linebacker in the NFL and daylight third and probably fourth too.

You're bang on about full rebuild. Pathers have McAffrey and bugger all else.

I feel bad for McCaffrey who could be a major piece on a contending team

KC start slow again in the AFC championship game but lead 17-21 at half time after Mahomes runs the ball in from deep for the TD. The titan who was last line of defence demonstrated how poor tackling technique is in the league but it was a nice run

When the Chiefs get rolling there is a feeling of inevitability to the game. They will win this by 20+

I've always found it weird that in the NFL trophies are presented to the owners.

The NFL is full of peculiarities.

I've always found it bizarre that the clock so important until the last minute of the game if the team leading has possession. Then the players just stand there watching time tick away with the occasional snap.

I hope the Chiefs win it all. They have great fans and it's been a long time between SB appearances.

@Bovidae If they win you couldn't not feel happy for Andy Reid either. Seems a really nice guy

@canefan Reid did well with the Eagles too, but was always criticised for failure in the playoffs. He is due some luck.

    Niners look ominous already

Shakira and JLo will make for a very attractive halftime show.

i would love to see a rule change around kick offs. Make the starting point for the touch back further up the field, and actually make teams keep it in play.

49ers D squeezing the Pack O and the 9ers running game rolling now. They run in another TD to increase the lead to 16-0
