Interestingly, the director of Revenge of the Nerds started his career with an incredibly dark film, starring Hal Holbrook and Louise Fletcher, in which "A man hires hires five hookers to fulfil a final fantasy before killing himself and his family."

Length of film was an issue at nearly 2 hours. Some dead spots that could have easily been left out.

Didn't really like prince of thieves that much , is the postman any good? The book was great , quite an original concept in a few ways.

Totally agree about No Way Out, that is an excellent espionage thriller. Love the way Roger Donaldson managed to shove in some NZ stuff too.

Robin Hood Prince of Thieves is one of my faves, although probably more to do with Alan Rickman's brilliant Sheriff. And Sean Connery's Scottish, greybeard version of Richard the Lionheart (young English king who only spoke French and Latin) was usual high standard.

I always think more highly of men who admit to enjoying a well written, well acted romcom. Kinda weird how they get shit, but women don't really if they say they like crime/horror/action??

Tom Cruise was pretty funny. Also Catherine Zeta Jones dressed up in a leather at the end .

I actually sat through love actually , the guy from walking deads part was pretty creepy especially considering it was his best friends mrs, Alan RIckmans bit was sad not funny and the bit with Hugh Grant was shit for two reasons- it had Huhh Grant in it and had a sanctimonious anti American tirade .

Love and relationships are the key theme to both. One got dumped, can't get over her, meets new girl who just might be Ms Right. Other is building a relationship after a one night stand goes awry and learning that opposites can make it work. Plus both have a happy ending/happy for now.

Sorry mate, romcoms.

Ms Heigls career trajectory must have reached the point where she prepared to do at least a partial nude scene I reckon.
