God don't remind me ;)
Lucas fucked that up, poor writting and even poorer casting meant a lost opportunity in telling the back story to cinemas greatest villain.

some of these are funny, you could do this sort of 'analysis' with pretty much any movie.

Guess with the box office take, there is an awful lot of forgivable people.

Quick question.

What were they thinking by not killing off Fisher? She's certifiable!

I saw her on Graham Norton the other day - she's a crack up, clearly not playing with a full deck. It appears she loves that dog more than Depp's Missus loves their's.

Lucas gives his thoughts on the latest instalment, and gets himself in a bit of hot water in the process.

Of course he watched them. He thought they were awesome :wacko2: I'm glad they left him out of it; it's time to take the franchise to a higher level

Saw it spolier free last night and the first thing that struck me was that it is exactly like a new hope.

I had an issue that Rey seemed to know all the force tricks without being taught them. Then smacked down Kylo Ren, though as pointed out on here he was injured. Han was toast as soon as it was revealed Kylo was his son. Oh and Carrie Fisher can't act .At all. The love of your life was just killed by your son, sigh and look off into the distance oh and hug his wookie. I would hope my Misses would be catatonic if one of my sons ran me through and chucked me off the roof. I already have a pretty good handle on which one is most likely to turn darkside. Dads gotta be prepared in this world.

Also the baddies need to get some engineers that have heard of redundancy!

My favorite bit was the TIE fighter attack, with Rey yelling why do you keep holding my hand I can't run like this! Or words to that affect, very Abrams but very funny. Oh and Han doing a landing approach at light speed. Hopefully the new directors can learn from the good bits, no gimmicky CGI and add some new interesting plot lines rather then rehashing again.

Have seen it three times. My seven year old loved every second, five year old not quite as much, now I think about it when I watch with them on DVDs we do tend to skip to cool scenes ie darth maul, Jango Fett, walkers etc. He did well to last the distance. All the people who criticise it are right in a way, it has many flaws....but it's Star Wars.....

By far the funniest bit was when Han stepped onto the bridge, as you'll recall its a tense, quiet moment. I had to wait a few days to take them so needless to say I may have given away a few spoilers......My youngest yelled out 'Is this the bit when Han Solo gets killed Dad?'

So fucken awkward and hilarious. People in the states have been assaulted for that. I can only hope that others were seeing it for a second or third time....

That's it for me although needless to say I'll be buying it when it becomes available.

That scene where Solo and Chewie are trying to sweet talk the Scots??? and Indonesians???? really is fucken awful and gets worse the more you see it. I'm not expecting Oscar worthy performances but amongst some pretty ordinary performances the bloke who played Poe literally sounds like he's reading his lines for the first time and trying to make sense of them, I've seen more emotive acting in Shortland Street.

On repeat viewings though I accept Ren getting his arse kicked as he had taken a shot from Chewies big gun and was badly wounded.

Anyone else notice that Rey was sweating the whole time?

True Love wanted to see it so I took her along fopr my second viewing. She said it was just like the first one. Enjoyed it but wondered if the second would also be like Empire Stirkes Back.

I enjoyed it just as much the second time sans all the questions all the way through. :)

We get "Rogue Squadron" next. Really looking forward to that. X-wing commandos stealing the Death Star plans for the Rebellion.

Just got back from seeing and am confused about one thing in particular .

I have just read 8 pages of nerds discussing the minutiae of Star Wars reviewing it to the nth degree and some of you geeks have mentioned that you have managed to procreate, in some cases more than once? How is this possible?
