so now they got on TV...

FFS, first the news reported that the Flight from Wuhan had arrived safely, with a smooth landing, then we get to see a guy with a beard and top knot talk about merging his name with his MIssus to make something he wont ever be!

At least his Dad doesnt like the idea!!

Ffs. Having your dogs at the wedding is pretty sweet though.

    It’s a simple formula man+bun=twat .

First time I've ever encountered this. I thought the hyphenated names were the perfect solution for the kids, not adults.

Was wondering who "ex kiwi league international " Robbie Hunter-Paul was...

*Hunter-Paul is well placed to comment on Super League impact.

The Aucklander - best known in New Zealand as Robbie Paul before hyphenating his name when he married Lisa Hunter in 2010 – spent his entire 19-year professional career in England.*

From an article on stuff talking up SBW

What if two people with hyphenated names get married and want to... hyphenate? Do they end up with 4 surnames? And then their kids end up with 8? 16? 32?

    It's a stupid idea.

@jegga it was funny seeing clips of him from his bullshit interview today, talking camp and a slight lisp. Then they'd show a clip from a couple of years ago...no camp...no lisp...hmmm

My thoughts too. Smith-Jones marries White-Brown and the kids become Smith-Jones-White-Brown. Good luck with your signature. πŸ™„

If women want to keep their surname more power to them but hyphenated names are stupid. In Italy, for example, the women don't change their surname when they get married.

My guess is some bloke he'd been nailling was about to sell his story to the tabloids .

makes that clip about him talking about different genres of porn even funnier in retrospect.

China and other parts of Asia too. This is over-complication

@canefan It's a pretty superficial sign of commitment IMO, a bit like a tattoo, but whatever.
Just can't see how it's worth the hassle of filling out forms and correcting everyone. A divorce could taint the gesture a bit.

Both parents hyphenating is, but children adopting hyphenated names works perfectly well for hundreds of millions of people.

BBC breakfast this morning is mostly some Keifer Sutherland lookalike awkwardly stalking the red carpet outside the Oscars after party.

Is this the bizarre out of touch state of the media where they think this is the kind of breakfast TV we want to see or am I the one that's out of touch?

At least in between cuts to the red carpet we can talk about diversity.

What! A decent in-touch opinion piece from Stuff?!

...well its from The Telegraph but some slight kudos for reposting something that isn't complete sycophantic celeb dribble.
