England may be the pre-tournament favourites, but France in Paris is a tricky first hurdle for Eddie Jones’s side

@MiketheSnow He's played, sorry, 'outside centre' for sure. I've seen it and even wikipedia backs me up 😉

EDIT: And Pivac: "George has played a couple of games in the centre for Ospreys and has had four starts for Wales so it is not foreign to him."

    https://www.bbc.com/sport/rugby-union/51306672

    Not the question you asked.

A couple of times at club level and four times for Wales is hardly experienced.

And he hasn't set the world on fire in any of those matches.

Defensively it could be a long afternoon.

Geez rugbypass is mostly shit. Imagine how many players France might get if they won?

We have picked out our standout XV from the opening weekend of the 2020 Guinness Six Nations, with Ireland and Wales featuring prominently after big wins.

Antoine Dupont was the best halfback of the day and Gregory Alldritt was immense.
Fagerson was better than Furlong IMO, putting a lot of pressure on the Irish scrum and being a nuisance in the rucks. Sutherland better than Marler, too.

Agree on first two points. Alldritt probably my player of the round. Marler was excellent in scrum, but not a lot more. Poirot was a complete nuisance at ruck time when he came on.

Anyone from Wellington who is today at Murrayfield for the England-Scotland game is going to be reminded a wee bit of home:

Ignore the title. Reading the article, there is no spat between WR and JRFU.

The JRFU just seems to have no clue about what they're doing with their domestic competition. Apart from the fact that they seem to be changing the competition every other year, they're also planning it wrong (scheduling it for the wrong months: August/September to January), much to the frustration of Jamie Joseph.

An escalating spat between World Rugby and the Japan Rugby Football Union was behind Brave Blossoms coach Jamie Joseph's recent comments about the timing of a new domestic league, a source close to the matter has told Kyodo News.

The Japanese seasons make no sense, they'll be like the Ozzie's and puts away the good will of a successful RWC

So this interview was shit. This is the same idiot that thought DC should be basically thrown in jail for a high tackle isn't it? Methinks her aggression is an attempt to hide a severe lack of knowledge and understanding.

I was waiting for her to say "so what you're saying is..." , there was a lot of cringe there.

For some reason Sonja is being absolutely lauded for that interview.

Further proof to me of just how much Eddie Jones is hated by the media in general who he flatly refuses to suck up to.

His next mauling will come shortly too as he's been asked of the view of SA joining the 6N nad it wasn't very positive.

@Bones Matt Williams. Dreadful coach showing his uselessness in his analysis as a pundit.
