I agree. It seems most of us on here know vegans or vegetarians and have no issue with them. It's the militant vegans that people hate. Just like the radical lefties, the right wing nutjobs, the born again Christians etc etc. Anyone that gets in other people's faces and preaches how to live their lives, while arrogantly assuming they know everything and that they are the most morally virtuous person to ever grace the earth, is going to get a fair amount of criticism and mocking directed their way.
If vegans are worried about people hating them they should direct their ire at the militant branch of veganism that causes this resentment.
And to be fair most vegetabilists look at these militant fuckwits with as much disdain as us normal, law abiding meat eaters do.

Been vegetarian for 8 years and vegan the last 3 and a bit of those. I do it for the environment and for my running. I run ultra marathons on trails and I need to reduce all potential inflammation. It definitely works on that front as this sport is tough! have run with the Ultra Marathoner (Scott Jurek) on Game changers a couple of times (including a 50 km training run in the Zion National Park on a 100 degree day) and did a couple of gym sessions with one of the Body Builders on the show Nimai Dalgado who has never eaten meat in his life. Got to agree that activists can be a bit out there but majority are good as people as anyone. Pretty sure Ma'a Nonu was vegetararian last year and Adam Thompson has been plant based for a fair while too. Both old in Rugby age but still doing the business. TJP is flexitarian at least. Broncos captain went vegan but struggled with it so changed back.

Indeed. Because no restaurant in the history of time has ever doctored a receipt for a customer.
It will only be a matter of time before an employee takes a firm stance on this to court and wins.

If the boot was on the other foot and veggie food wasn't going to be paid for then that court case would already have happened.
