Looking at a few recent Indian scorecards - I think Rohit Sharma is probably the only player they're missing from their top line-up?

I see you're really struggling to adjust down there.... How is the meat bin?

The place we are looking after has a coupe of freezers full and considering that the front paddock has 20 Angus stud bulls in it, I'm guessing I can find something decent ๐Ÿ˜‰
Trouble is that I've got some Crays and Blue Cod to get through first.

Weather is great though and I've just found out that entry to the Open is free so even though I'm not a golf fan, it is just down the road and might fill in a gap before the next test.

I could get very used to this life.

Ross has played in 36 of those victories.

I'm guessing that's a record for NZ players?

Sweet! We are one of the main sponsors so two from the business get to play the pro-am each year.

    So far, not me ๐Ÿ˜ž

I don't think he'd have added much. I think he might be the most overrated batsman in the world at the moment. Text book definition of a flat track bully.

Brilliant performance Black Caps. Terrific turnaround from Australia.

Does Hagley Oval take spin? Will that determine whether Patel plays or not?

Yeah, makes him a weapon in the batsmen friendly shorter forms, but not someone that concerns me a great deal in a test where the ball actually doing something.

In the never ending search for narrative, what does this all mean. We just hammered India. We've beaten England. But we've also been ritually humiliated in Australia.

I'm kidding, I don't care. We just murdered India. Fucking yew!

Number 1 side in the world by a fair margin. Number 1, then daylight.

    Aus/Eng/NZ are clustered.

Think it just highlights how difficult it is for teams to win away in Australia, New Zealand and India.
Especially when the home team wins the toss, cricinfo just put up an article highlighting this.

We havenโ€™t lost a test at home after winning the toss since 2009!! 10 wins, plus even when we lost the toss we still win more then we lose.

Amazing considering that the pitches we prepare are generally more neutral than the old days. Still unfamiliar enough to present a major problem clearly

Yeah I posed the question earlier in the thread, when was the last time one of the big teams beat another big team away from home? Us getting smacked by the Aussies in between smacking England and India at home definitely reinforces that.

That said, we were fucking diabolical in Aus.

England just beat South Africa at home. But yeah, away test series wins are the absolute gold standard in test cricket at the moment.

@No-Quarter yeah that is the bit that still pisses me off. We were definitely undercooked going into the series. Then losing Lovely Trenty and Ferg was pretty much the deathblow. Still really salty about us not having any warm ups in Oz, and bringing Ferg in with no warm up was just plain dumb. Really wish we could have played to our potential - still might have been smoked but ...
