I just don't get the way the England Rugby team of late sometimes behaves - particularly this current bunch.
I really like the way the England soccer team generally carries itself (particularly under Southgate) considering the shit that gets thrown at them and the cricket team seem to handle themselves pretty well compared to their peers.
Every team has cockwombles every now and again, but this lot seems to have a serious over-representation with Marler, Farrell and Itoje leading the way with stuff which really has no place in the game. Even Mike Brown, who seemed to be a decent sort of bloke, got involved in this crap towards the end of his career.
Perhaps I'm being unfair, but some of the stuff England got up to on Saturday was way out of order.

It was essentially a sexual offence, designed to elicit a response to get an opponent sent off.
He deserved to be laid out, am impressed by AWJ's restraint, but in lieu of that he deserves at least the minimum punishment.
It was a really fucking weird thing to do too. Like the boxer who bit the other guy's ear or the League player who stuck his fingers up the opponents' bums.
I hope World Rugby punish Marler and his team severely:
IMHO Marler should get a 6 months ban and made to have counselling before he can go on a Rugby field again. England should forfeit the match and be docked 12 points.

For me, AWJ is right up there with Eales, BBBT, etc in the pantheon of locks. Never gives less that 110% and Wales are bloody lucky to have him.

Just a point here, why aren't they saying genitals? They keep saying he grabbed his penis, looked like he was trying to tweak the balls to me - which would have been a bit painful.
Should get a month ban at least for that, no place for attacking the genitals, eyes, etc in rugby.

AWJ did well not to retaliate. And that's the frustration for me - it's niggly bullshit. Not sure how long he cops -but I think a week is too short, but 12 is way too long.
The other question is what do you get for that if the ref sees it live the field. YC? RC? Penalty?

It was a bit of a non-event, but by the same token, WTAF was he thinking, you cannot do that, even if it was supposedly a bit of a joke...

Frenchy hits someone in the head - red card, probably cop a couple of weeks ban. No indignation, no one upset, not even talking about it.
Marler - anything from no harm no foul, to 6 months + counselling. The crowd goes wild
