Yeah I've been offered the NEON as part of my SkySportNow subscription. It's a nice gesture, this whole situation is really out of their control.

    Don’t.

If you have to rely on using an app on your phone to access Neon don’t bother.
I’d like to say it’s shit but in truth it’s way worse then that.

I haven't tried it extensively but have put the app on my iPad and it seems to work OK. Haven't tried Airplay yet, is that where the issue is?

I just kept getting errors that shows couldn’t play
When it was working air play was fine.
I just gave up trying to get episodes I wanted to watch to work

Interview with Sky TV Boss Martin Stewart.

The title of the article is misleading. There's very little info about a possible domestic SR comp. It's mainly about the situation Sky is currently in.

As seems to be the case with Sky apps it's pretty inconsistent depending on device. I had a free year a while back and it worked really well for me so am happy enough to have it for a few months to keep the family entertained.

I had free Neon for a year as well. I airplayed to the ATV via my iPad without any problems.

I've been torn on my subscription to Kayo, I'm not watching any more..but at the same time I'm one of the extremely lucky ones and have had my job guaranteed for at least 6 months so I'm thinking I will let the subscription keep going, same too with gym. The math might change when the Mrs is completely sidelined from work but will run it as long as I can.

I'm using a mates Kayo that he gets as a member of Manly - I think giving me free sports watching (until now) is an appropriate punishment for being a member of Manly.

You can get a payment holiday on Sports ($31.99/month I think it is) until July 1. They aren't advertising it though. I just initiated it then with them through their 'Chat' facility as their call centre is not in operation until next week.

Just like last week, Sky Sport 1 will again broadcast some classic Super Rugby encounters.

    Friday, 27 March
    7.00pm: classic Hurricanes v Bulls
9.00pm: replacy of a Super 12 game between the Brumbies and Reds (Bruce Stadium, Canberra). Don't know which year.

    Saturday, 28 March
7.00pm: Highlanders v Crusaders. TV guide is unclear whether this again 4 classic encounters or the replay of one game (I assume it will be classic encounters).
9.00pm: replacy of the game between the Waratahs and Sunwolves from 2019

    Sunday, 29 March
1.00am: replay of the Super 14 game of 2010 between the Lions and the Chiefs (Ellis Park, Johannesburg)
3.00am: replay of the 2012 Super Rugby between the Stormers and Rebels (Newlands Stadium, Cape Town)

And a lot of repeats of these programmes (at more civilized hours).

Yep, we've now taken a sport holiday and also burned one decoder. They were dicks about it, but to be fair, 10 days ago I made some suggestions re reduced fees, extra content etc and they didn't rise to the challenge so bye bye sports.

Yeah you actually lose sports, I thought it was a offer where you keep sports and watch replays and don't pay until July 1. It's not an offer at all, it's just a sports cancellation under their terms.

I thought that too initially. It's not really a special lock-down offer as it's something you can do at anytime isn't it? They're going to shed subscribers during this period like a sheepdog loses fur in the Sahara so you'd think they'd be a lot more flexible to keep people on the hook: much easier to offer something for less pro-actively and then get people paying again later, than to lose a subscriber completely and have to try and re-sign them. TBH if Food TV doesn't spin my wheels enough short-term, we may drop it altogether and then when sports start up again I'll just pay for the app and cast it.

I just cancelled mine, and they replied pointing out that they gave me entertainment and soho for free as an alternative, are you sure?

So I think they are hemorrhaging subscribers.
