@Nepia LIttle Drummer Girl was decent, started well but dragged a bit I felt.

I'm 4 eps into Quarry (think you recommended it a week or so back) it is good!

    Jodi Balfour is tidy.

Yeah, I felt the same about Little Drummer Girl, I tend to think that's common of Brit shows based on books (e.g. The Night Manager), but it was a decent enough watch.

I was discussing Quarry but I haven't seen it yet so the recommendation would have been from someone else.

I've started watching The Orville (bit late to the party) and it's ok so far.

Going through a rewatch of BAttlestar Galactica. Holds up really well after 16 years.

Going to be interesting in the future as graphics get better and better, harder to date shows by their special effects.

I remembered it being less serial than it is, enjoy watching an episode with a self contained story.

A mate's daughter - Georgia Furlong, in her first TV role - is a supporting actress in a very well written and acted 'coming of age' family drama on the BBC

    In My Skin

    In My Skin (TV Series 2018– ) ⭐ 8.1 | Comedy, Drama

The lead actress Gabrielle Creevy is one to watch.

So should I actually watch this thing or not?

I lasted 20 or so minutes into the first episode and became too disgusted. Turned it off as he was kissing his multiple husbands.

Our Girl - BBC drama about a London slapper who joins the British Army as a medic.

Was actually decent, some good humour, unnecessary drama...I see S2 is about a different lead female.

I'm going to watch the original series soon. I remember watching on those series on TV as a kid, and I have had the DVDs for ~10 years and have never taken them off the shelf. I'm looking forward to those special effects. πŸ™‚

Just watched S3 ep1 of Killing Eve. It was...ok? Not happy with who died at the end. Not at all. Bit of a grimmer, more chaotic tone which I'm not sure I like.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, TVNZ on demand app really is shite. I don't mind ad breaks (gotta pay the bills) but FFS put them in the natural fade to black scene breaks you dumbarses. Ad breaks in the middle of dialogue or scene is just irritating as hell. Especially when it's 45sec or more.

I just started a new series - Vienna Blood. The story of a Jewish junior doctor, and keen follower of Freud, and a policeman with a bad reputation teaming up to solve crimes in Vienna in the early 1900's. Produced by BBC, similar to Dracula and Sherlock, the series is just 3 episodes, each 90 minutes long. Recommended if you like well produced, plotted and acted mysteries.

Not even sure where to begin, i don’t think you could script a better more f@cked up show then this.
You pretty much forget the tigers are even there..

So I watched the Deadwood movie last night, I found it to be weird and not very good. Always hard to do a reunion show years after the fact I know, but this felt a bit off, like someone was trying to copy Milch even though he wrote it.

I enjoyed it for what it was, but it didn't need to be made.

Yeah, I was never in the camp that it needed to be made, I thought that S3 had enough season ending stories that it didn't bother me that all the stories weren't completed. But I had the benefit of watching it late so I knew it was going to end at S3.

I watched the series long after release as well but we all wanted to see Hearst get his comeuppance.

It was just unfortunate that it took so long to be made so the likes of Powers Boothe couldn't be involved.

Finished "How to fix a drug scandal". Pretty much a story about what would happen if I worked in a drug testing lab.

    Fuuuuuck what a mess.
