So I watched the Deadwood movie last night, I found it to be weird and not very good. Always hard to do a reunion show years after the fact I know, but this felt a bit off, like someone was trying to copy Milch even though he wrote it.
I enjoyed it for what it was, but it didn't need to be made.

Yeah, I was never in the camp that it needed to be made, I thought that S3 had enough season ending stories that it didn't bother me that all the stories weren't completed. But I had the benefit of watching it late so I knew it was going to end at S3.

Finished "How to fix a drug scandal". Pretty much a story about what would happen if I worked in a drug testing lab.
Fuuuuuck what a mess.
I watched that the other day. Good doco with the right outcome. Excellent case study of complete and utter risk management failure.

@antipodean and pretty damn awful behaviour by the DA's office...

New Bosch season tomorrow.
i have had this recommended to me recently. Recommendation seconded?
-
@mariner4life Yeah, it's good basic genre TV.
-
yeah Bosch is good, solid writing/acting, similar to Luthar.
-
@mariner4life some of the best telly around imo.

Oddly both Bosch and Better Call Saul are two shows that I haven't warmed to. I watched the first seasons of both and probably most of S2 of Saul.
I was never the biggest Breaking Bad fan (while still actually liking it) but Saul was always one of my favourite characters so I assumed I'd like the show, but I just found it a slog.
I might give Bosch S2 a shot since it's getting a lot of positive reviews on here.

Finished S2 of the Netflix F1 series tonight. Really enjoyed it. I could have gone for more updates on season progression, driver and team tables etc, but the human element was clearly the focus, and the access and insight was excellent.
Made me pumped for the next season, whenever that happens.

Yeah I've watched both seasons aswell, would highly recommend this series. I'm not a F1 fan by any stretch but this was an interesting look into the pinnacle of racing.
