I have been doing poems with a couple of friends via text during lockdown. Something I have never done before. Some are good, some aren't. I feel as though I have plaigiarised this one but I did write it this morning. On this morning we stand together
For they are in our hearts forever
 We have our own kingdoms
Because of their sacrifice for freedom
For that we will always rememberLest We Forget.

Really nice. Our whole little close came and stood on the end of their driveways, and we had the national service playing on a speaker

We could hear someone playing bagpipes at dawn, from the community posts they were about 3km away, quite eerie with light mist and the sound cutting through.

@taniwharugby said in ANZAC 2020: We could hear someone playing bagpipes at dawn, from the community posts they were about 3km away, quite eerie with light mist and the sound cutting through. Are you out tutukaka way? The player has been practising for ages, often hear him/her in the arvo. Was playing from 0530 this morning, sounds pretty cool and mournful.
