My favourite cafe in Sydney is called the Sconery, they do really good scones (although I've never tried there cheese ones) but I hardly ever have them as I'm usually eating off their normal brunch menu.

If I liked scones the way I liked donuts I'd eat there's all the time.

I disappointed if they didn't with a name like that.

For ages I hadn't had their scones and people would ask me about them. Luckily they did live uo to their name.

They're very good and only 10mins walk from Syd law school.

So great for people that are A. Students and B. Lawyers. Life is so unfair.

@Catogrande he's just boasting on the fitness thread about never having done a hammy too. The world just gets worse.

I'm sure others can get scones there.

Probably true. Lawyers have to be flexible. They have a commonality with Pelicans. They can both stick their bills up their arse.

Like there's any left after all the law students have cleared the shelves during Happy Hour.

You really shouldn't do that, there's this bug going around. A plate is more hygienic.

And the fern has been reduced to a thread about scones...Don't get me wrong I like scones, but it is unlikely to stir up the passion (read "one eyed vitriol") that a thread on the latest red card does for example.

But what if they are Hammett's scones?

The thread title is Best Cheese Scones not Crap Cheese Scones.

Best cheese scones that have been sent to another cheese scone franchise?

no no, they just taste like crap - they're still the Best Cheese Scones.

How do you get a nomination for derailment of threads again?

@Snowy and online shopping... I think shark was responsible for both. ๐Ÿ™„ I do like a cheese scone though, its been a while.
More importantly how do you guys pronounce SCONE?
Obviously I say it the correct way.

@Virgil I think if you served most Yanks a savoury scone they'd tell you it was a biscuit.

When I lived in the USA I really missed a good quality muffin. A local cafe sold them but they weren't the same.

Scones need to be hot for me to eat with melted butter, and I have never been a fan of bagels. I tried cream cheese and lox but bagels always taste stale to me.
