Yeah I got me a kit just before Xmas (was a package thing and was a Cider kit) and my first brew supposed to be ready for drinking Monday...the kits are pretty fool proof TBH, although I expect I will ruin plenty of brews experimenting too much
-

Shit, it's been hot even in the nations capital, haven't any of you fluffybunnys drunk any beer over the summer ????? judging by the lack of action on this thread perhaps not......

Gonna be a few weeks til I go brewing again, one brewery I'm getting into is "Rocky Knob" based in the Mount so the label tells me. You can grab a 1.25 litre bottle for 17.99 and their APA and IPA are particularly good.

Also if you get a chance have a look at the ridiculous selection that Garage Project have.....with the prices to match......I mean how do you possibly choose from such a convoluted list ?

Let me know whoever calls you sad and I'll get internet tough guy on their lame asses.....that is inspiring work from you. I am expecting a thorough review of all 34 ( plus any extras ) though.....
-

Yep. The States is the land of opportunity for beer enthusiasts. I've been on the Untappd app for just over a year and have tried 257 unique beers... and I'm not even a big drinker.

At this rate you'll overtake me before the end of your trip... if you survive that long :)
-

I now live 7 mins walk from a brewhouse.

Constantly changing suite of about 10 boutique ales

Their own brew is very very acceptable.

The place was pumping tonight and I reckon is profitable despite holding only 50 ish

2 mins closer I can drink Emersons.

I havent moved

10 years ago I had to drive to get a beer

Plus I knew the owners of both places before they opened up

Happy daze

For those who like a good IPA ( which has overtaken Pilsner as my favourite brew ) I suggest Rocky Knob Snapperhead IPA. They are a brewery in Tauranga so that's somewhere I'm definitely gonna have to visit next time I'm up that way. Bloody sensational drop, probably even better than Panheads which is saying something. Strong at 7.4% alcohol but that just adds to the flavour I reckon, I genuinely can't taste the extra alcohol content. $17.99 for a 1.25 litre plastic bottle at most New Worlds. Wonder if they're going to branch out to sixers at any stage ? I suppose the beauty of them being in bottles is it encourages drinkers to put them in glasses which definitely makes the beer taste better. ( Do I sound like a complete beer Willis when I say that ? )
