She doesn't at all? Was thinking of watching the series properly, but that has put me off a wee bit.

Anyone know if Walking Dead is coming back, or was this series only 8 episodes?

Not that I know of, but clearly going through by my last few posts it's better to ask someone else. ;)
-

Has it been abbreviated due to FTWD or is normal to cut a series in half like that?

Nepia: No way you would have missed that. No way -

Nah it has always had the break over Christmas, I expect all those extras that play the Zombies musta needed a break from the gruelling schedule and toll the part takes on them!

Saw Ep1 of 'Stan Lee's Lucky Man'.

Looks promising. I guess the reason it is titled that way is because this is a Stan Lee idea that he has not already done in the Marvel setup. Despite the clumsy name this is a Brit production starring James Nesbitt as the usual brit style broken copper (bad gambling habit and broken marriage). He meets a mysterious woman one night and wakes up with cash and an odd bracelet on his arm that he cant remove. Turns out he can now control his luck (which looks very hard to get a hang of). Good luck seems to have to balance out with bad. eg the bad guy he owed a lot of money to dies (good), but he is suspected of involvement (bad).

Production values are good and the characters are interesting.

One to avoid: That new show on TV1 with the woman that is found in Times Square with no memory and covered in tattoos. Complete load of bollocks. Handled well the premise had promise. There could have been character development and a slow realisation of how this came about. Instead with the first half of the first ep (and about a day in real time) it is established that the tattoos are clues to future crimes and she was ex special ops. Although she has no memory she has retained fighting abilities and linguistics and will now tag along with a cardboard cutout FBI agent in a procedural.
-
Yeah blindspot is a bit crap. Lucky man has promise from the first episode.

One to avoid is a detective drama with pippin as a New York detective tough guy. I can't figure out if it's supposed to be a piss take or serious, the co lead is a good actor, but how the fuck is Dominic Monaghan a tough guy? Ridiculous. -

They had a brief explanation for it. A doctor somehow worked out in milliseconds that she had been given a very rare drug that removed only parts of her memory. Explained as "she knows what music is but not who the Beatles are" -

The creative plan is for the series to introduce new characters and civilizations, existing outside of the mythology charted by previous series and the current movie franchises.

Now bring on Captain Mads Mikkelsen.
-

The walking dead "nibble on that".

I've read a few reviews questioning Rick running outside and going postal, one of the people inside pointed out the light was attracting the walkers so he didn't really have much choice but to try and lead them away.
-

Just started the new showtime series Billions.

Paul Giamatti, Damian Lewis and Maggie Siff.

So far interesting concept but some of the writing is a bit formulaic. Its kind of like a wolf of wall street sort of scenario but set in the modern day.
-
Walking Dead: Damn that was a good episode.

Walking Dead was pretty good! Knew that kid was gonna cop it, but his mum too....bazooka scene was funny
