Story I read this morning was that they will need to do quite a bit of re-work and new work to finish his vision at a cost of an extra $30M.
Also his 'cut' could be a 4hr one destined for HBO, so maybe screened as a two parter.

i can't imagine the amount of work that it would take to turn that turd in to a decent movie. Re-write every piece of dialogue, the entire plot, and re-do the appalling effects?

They do have hot heroes though

Take out all the Joss Wheddon "jokes" like the Flash's face landing in Wonder Womans boobs. Oh my sides.

The directors cur of the Batman vs Superman was good too, crucial story points that were removed for time helped made the story make sense.

If you have a consistent tone of all these movies, the original ending, Darkseid and the original design of Stepponwold (and no dodgy CGI mustache removal) you'll have a good film.

I'm super stoked it's coming. Sacking a director after a child's suicide was a poor look from the studio.

Lotta Netflix going through the brain at the moment. Here's the one-line review of each as I clear the List:

Spenser Confidential - Marky Mark and the Giant Black Dude fuck up a bunch of Crooked Cops working with Dominican Gangs. Lotta laughs.

6 Underground - 'splosions because Michael Bay. Snappy smartarse dialogue because Ryan Reynolds. Watchable but predictable.

The Dark Tower - Idris Elba handles a gun like a cool mofo. I thought this was pretty good for turning a King series into 90 minutes.

Robin Hood - the fucking awful Taron Egerton version.

The Titan - slow, kind of predictable, and short on decent dialogue.

RocknRolla - its a Guy Ritchie movie, so you know what you're getting. But I thought it was one of his better ones.

The Family - everyone in a backwoods French village speaks English. Lotta mafioso stuff.

    A Daniel Day-Lewis binge.

    Gangs of New York
I saw this movie back in 2002 and hadn't seen it since then. I enjoyed it, but as with a lot of Scorsese films, it would have been much improved by removing 20-30 mins. DDL is great as Bill the Butcher though and Leo holds his own.

    There Will Be Blood
DDL is brilliant (again) as the obnoxious and ruthless Daniel Planview but my opinion of the movie itself hasn't changed, and I don't ever need to watch this again.

I need to watch My Left Foot and In the Name of the Father again.

@Bovidae As is probably well known I find those two performances comical, and not in a good way. But the other three of his movies mentioned On this page he is brilliant in.

I agree DDL does play both roles over the top, and watching these films back-to-back reinforced that.

I would make the same criticism of Javier Bardem which is why I wasn't a fan of No Country for Old Men or him in Skyfall.

@Bovidae it’s been a few years since our last DDL is a ham discussion.

@Bovidae these are good points on Bardem. But in a Bond film the villain should be larger than life. NCFOM was defo hamming it up though.

He was great in Skyfall. Lame death though.

    The Lovebirds.
This is one of those annoying movies where the trailer includes all the good stuff. Even at less than 90 mins this is tedious as hell, supposed to be madcap or something but just unfunny and underdeveloped. Couple no one cares about keeps doing stupid things, cartoonish villain wants them dead, a whole lot of plot points that seem disconnected from each other (and then you get the police saying shit like 'oh, [random group]? yeah we've been watching them for ages.') The leads deserved so much better than this idiot script.
1 cyclist gets murdered out of 5 bird mask orgies.

Wait. What? Bird mask orgies? What's this called again?

@Catogrande I feel sorry for the unwitting birds. Reminds of this doozy....

Did you know that pigeons die after sex? Well the ones that I had sex with did anyway.

Too much confusion, shitty FX and bizarre editing and continuity don't help matters.

I shoulda read the book over lockdown.
