I should point out I haven't seen any Harry Potter movies. Nor will I.

@voodoo said in Re: Movie review thread...: On closer look, I've seen 4 (maybe 5) of the "mens" movies. But that well lags my chick flick count, and I've even never seen a Harry Potter movie. I haven't even heard of 3 of the top 5 men's ones You haven't heard of Das Boot?

@antipodean I don't know what to say.

@antipodean so that and Raging Bull are the only ones I've definitely heard of in the top 5. That would make 3/5 I haven't heard of. If FAFDM is Clint then I can add one more I guess.

I've only heard of Das Boot and Raging Bull. So not #1, #2 and #5 I am a movie heathen Edit, I've also never heard of #6, #9 and #10.

@Machpants said in Re: Movie review thread...: Not so much heathen as philistine! Admittedly I don't expect people to know the two Indian language movies in 5 and 6! Never heard of them either I'll wear it. Though IMO any "mens" movie list that doesn't include Draft Day or the Replacements doesn't stack up...

@voodoo said in Re: Movie review thread...: I've only heard of Das Boot and Raging Bull. So not #1, #2 and #5 Das Boot is amazing. Well worth a watch. In terms of a review, watched Chef with Jon Favreau last night (2014). Solid entertainment, quite enjoyable. Hit the right notes, some decent casting, well worth a watch for light entertainment. The food is soft core porn at times; got hungry watching. Four Cubanos out of five chef's knives
