    Yep. I note this:

NZR and all five Investec Super Rugby clubs would be encouraging fans to use the QR codes displayed at match venues to enable effective contact tracing, Lendrum said.

They will need QR codes at all gates.

New Zealand Rugby (NZR) has confirmed there will be no limit on crowd numbers

Will be interesting to see just what crowd numbers are like!

I bet there is a limit on crowd numbers though.

(the stadium capacity at FBS for example).

So no restrictions at all; only contact tracing. I really hope fans will pack the stadiums to the rafters.

    @nzzp dreams are free. 🙂

If Barrett and Carter don't shift the Blues culture for the better, then I'm afraid the franchise is doomed. I actually have a gut feeling the Blues are going to be quite successful in this comp. Just as long as Beaudy plays like poos against the Canes, that's all I care about at this point.

They had gone a very long way down a good culture track before either of those lads showed up. I think it's a reason why they felt OK signing - the front office and culture was finally sorted, competent coachs, and no longer at war with a composite union 🙂

Is it weird that as a Chiefs fan I'm considering driving up from the Tron to watch the Blues vs Canes in Auckland? I fucking miss rugby.

I hear you though. This looks to be a peach of a rugby match. Easily the game of the round.

@ACT-Crusader They should play a Crusaders 'A' v Crusaders 'B" game and televise that game, too.

That's a shame. Reckon we could have got some massive crowds.
I'll have to wait until a day time npc game to take the kids.

Understand though, the reasons, not trying to criticize if that's the way the financials stack up.

Really hope the new TransTasman league goes ahead next year with 7 or 8 nz teams so we can get some day games , 2 per weekend, and restart the slow, slow grind of re-immrsing the under-40s in attending live sport. Will take a generation to -repair'.

Well at 5pm on Saturday all of the people involved in club rugby will be unable to attend unless they are handy to the stadium. That's part of the reason.

@Rapido It's not just for financial reasons. It's to allow people to fully participate in community sport:

NZR Head of Professional Rugby Chris Lendrum said the move to Level 1 and the return of crowds meant kick off times would now change for the competition – now 7.05pm for Saturday games and 3.35pm for Sunday games.

“With the return of community sport, we wanted to give our many fans involved in Saturday sport time to finish up their games, get ready to head out, and then across town to our venues. We’re excited to be able to provide some daytime Sunday rugby in 2020.

Anyone woudl think that people who play rugby might be core stakeholders for watching live rugby!

Taking the two younger kids to AKL (Zoo Sat, Hotel) then Sunday’s game, older 2 want to stay at home overnight for the first time - hopefully have a house left once we get back!
