I don't agree that ruck penalty should be given. At no point is it a realistic chance of getting a turnover.

This is great to watch. Great buzz at the ground and both teams playing better than I expected.
Lots of penalties but again that’s probably not unexpected either.

fuck rugbys annoying to watch when your opposition commits no one to the ruck but you don't try and commit anyone but hitting it up through the forwards. need to suck some defenders in before playing touch rugby out wide.

I think they've been trying to show less replays of that over the past couple of years to try to reduce complaints about the referees
makes it fucking hard to understand the new rules if i can't see what they're getting pinged for
There aren't any new rules at the breakdown. WR just ordered refs to enforce the existing laws strictly to see what happens. It's worth a try.
