On quarantine I have gone from being a dad that's at Call of Duty badly to having an average of 40 kills per round on team deathmatch. I am now better than my son and he hates it. My daughter is only marginally better and than me now. But shes plays all day every day while shes off work and studies.

I've been playing Day of Infamy (which is old so sometimes I'll play practice matches while waiting for a server) which I like because it's not just run and jump and shoot. I've definitely gotten better with constant play.

Gutted I don't have a PC so can't get Civ free.

I think the major difference is actually that I bought a ps4 pro and its runs COD in 4k on 55inch TV. My eyes are suddenly seeing things they couldn't before.

That's awesome. My twitch skills are too shit for CoD, my KDR hovers around one. Not that I care cos PTFO! So I normally do well and top score in any objective mode. As a Battlefield player and ex Nav, my SA is good, but I'm sadly too unco to get the shots away on target most times 😉

Haha, I'm playing Day of Infamy on my Macbook 13inch ... if it was a run around game I'd be dead about 3 seconds after the game kicked off.

Glad I’m not the only one filling in time with this, I’ve even broken a 15 year break from multiplayer.

Got the Stellaris summer pack in the Steam sale. Am tempted to get the Megacorp DLC.

Sorry you're playing someone to play your game??? It's not like your character gets more stuff the higher level you are in Overwatch, unless it's changed a lot since I last played it!

    EDIT: Oh a spammer.

Well, I'd rather he released Half Life 3, for NZ only, than a virtual concert.

And he's putting on a concert to thank the country.

That's Mr Steam, for those that don't recognise the name

Anyone else play microsoft solitaire/freecell while in video meetings or while listening to podcasts?

They recently introduced obnoxious video adverts for other games with the sound on by default. I found that adding the following entries to my HOSTS file blocked them:

    api.taboola.com
    ads.aerserv.com
    api.vungle.com
    srv-2020-08-02-09.pixel.parsely.com
    pixel.parsely.com
    static.doubleclick.net
    bam.nr-data.net

@Tim I never used to get ads playing Solitaire, now I get them all the fucking time. Either Vegas slots (which I can turn sound off) or some Empire thing that I can't. They are very annoying cos they are super loud.

@Mokey Yeah, I got those ones and they were driving me crazy, but blocking those domains got rid of them.
