Can anyone confirm what happened to Ethan Blackadder? He was named in the team to play all week but Sione Havili started on the blindside. Terribly unlucky for Ethan if he has injured himself at training.

@Cantab79 I can't - but, I have a very vague memory that Ethan might have missed a game for the Mako (a couple of seasons back) with a migraine headache.

And that could be complete bollocks with me confusing him with someone else.

But, if I got a quiz question, "Did Etahan miss...", I'd answer "yes".

His form is as good as any halfback, he's potentially in All Black consideration,’’ Robertson said.

    Big call, can't agree though.

From what I've seen, the following players are playing club rugby, this weekend (for some squad members that will be nothing unusual, but I looked it up because of the bye):

    Canterbury
    Rameka Poihipi (Lincoln Uni)
    Manasa Mataele (Marist Albion)
    Dallas McLeod (Christchurch FC)
    Hugh Renton (Christchurch FC)
    Oliver Jager (New Brighton)
    Billy Harmon (New Brighton)
    Harry Allan (Sydenham)
    Brodie McAlister (Sydenham)

    Auckland
    Fetuli Paea (Marist)
    Andrew Makalio (Grammar TEC)
    Isi Tu'ungafasi (Grammar TEC)

    Wellington
    George Bower (Avalon)

I couldn't find team lists from Ta$man clubs.

I had forgotten about Mataele. Just shows the depth the Crusaders have in the outside backs.

It’s ruining Super rugby, just in case you weren’t aware

@ACT-Crusader Absolutely. Just like how when we hoarded all the first-fives (Carter, Slade, Taylor, Bleyendaal) it ruined SR and we won all those titles and lost all those World Cups..... 🙂

At least he’s not a lock! Fullbacks we’re flush with

We could see more potential AB’s injured before the end of the comp, especially at the tail end when fatigue etc kicks in still 4 weeks to go,it’s a brutal competition
