    Look good play good.

Did you get one of those jerseys a couple of years ago the half magpies/half tech jersey?

@Magpie_in_aus No, but they are bringing out some special Centennial clothing which I will definitely be keen on getting. I hope to be up home in a few weeks, coinsiding with a home game of course (the Clive match looks to be the most convenient one) so will be making further enquiries at the aftermatch function.

Just checking the points tables and it looks like matches involving the Napier High School Old Boys/Marist Senior Thirds look the best bet if you are after plenty of points scoring action with over seventy points being scored on average in each of their games.

Central Hawkes Bay 22 - 00 Havelock North
    Napier High School Old Boys-Marist 49 - 00 Pirates
    Clive 14 - 09 MAC
    Tamatea 05 - 64 Hastings RSC
Taradale 32 - 16 Napier Tech Old Boys
Presumably 9 penalties and a hotly disputed try!

Those turning up to witness the expected points fest that occurs whenever the Napier High School Old Boys-Marist Senior Three team play were let down a bit this week with just the 68 points scored, all coming on the Havelock North side of the scoreboard.

    Watched MAC v NOB Marist.

NOB Marist came from 17-34 down to win 43-34.

The NOB Marist try to draw level was the classic one of winger running down left touchline with one man coming across - they both dived at the same time - the NOB Marist wing for the corner and the MAC defender for the NOB Marist winger. Down went the corner flag, Referee consulted the AR, and the try was awarded.

The conversion attempt was literally inches off the left touchline, the kick hit the right hand upright, bounced down on to the top of the crossbar, and bounced over.

And that's how NOB Marist went from 29-34 down to 36-34 into the lead.

Lincoln McClutchie played fullback for MAC, and had an off day with the boot, kicking 2/7.

Kianu Kereru-Symes came on for MAC in the last 30 minutes.

Hastings RS demolished unbeaten Taradale 35-10.

And for the statistically minded Napier High School Old Boys Marist Senior Thirds further dealt a blow to those fans looking for the usual 70 odd points bonanza by only seeing 59 points scored during their match against Flaxmere. Once again all points were on the Flaxmere side of the scoreboard

For some reason all the results have not been posted so I will do the honors for
    Premier
Central Hawkes Bay 20 - 31 Napier Tech Old Boys
    Colts
    Napier HSOB-Marist 24 - 32 Napier Tech Old Boys

And once again followers of the Napier High School Old Boys-Marist Senior Thirds came away disappointed with just the fifty points scored this week, way down on the usual quota. It needs no imagination to deduce that all fifty were recorded on the Taradale side of the scoreboard in that particular encounter.

    From the article below:

    TECH 31 CENTRAL 20

All Black Sevens representative Kurt Baker got an ugly but winning welcome to the Altherm Window Systems Napier Technical side with this Central Park victory.

"There was a bit of niggle as well as an all-in scuffle. Two of our players [winger Penikolo Latu and lock Izzy Martin] were red carded and our halfback [Sheridan Rangihuna] was yellow carded. One of their players were yellow carded too," Texans manager Cyril Whitburn explained.

He pointed out two-time Commonwealth Games gold medallist Baker operated well at fullback. First five-eighth Te Rangi Fraser and second five-eighth were also prominent in the winning backline.

Substitute prop Mark Braidwood and experienced loosie Trent Boswell-Wakefield were inspirational in the Tech pack. Tighthead prop Joel Hintz, lock William Gunson and flanker Frank Lochore provided plenty of grunt to the host pack.

Halfback Tim Sciascia and second five-eighth were the pick of the Northfuels Central backs.

Penikolo Latu posted footage of that scuffle on his instagram stories and the cards were fully deserved. Don't know why he posted it; it's quite self-incriminating. He handed out a dirty punch to the side of the head of a Central player.

It all started with the Central first five tackling Baker without the ball, who told him off and then the first five started pushing him and Baker, of course, immediately pushed back. It escalated when other players got involved, including one Central player tackling Baker from behind, dropping Baker to the ground and then players from both teams flying in. Several punches were thrown. And that all happened while Baker was still on the ground and couldn't get up because of all those other players around him. He didn't get involved after he was finally able to stand up.

Poor of him to get greedy and score a couple of tries when the rules clearly state there can be only one.
