At Pukekohe for the races, all day essentially. Come for a free beer or two if you wish! Maybe win some coin too!
As I sit here in my Wanaka Hotel room home schooling the 3 kids, I'd give my left nut to be at these races mate!

I'm in @Chris-B 's part of the world this weekend instead.
However, I did just book for Monday to Sunday of this year's NZ Cup Week. Oh yeah.....

Happy with both the runs of our girls. Massive improvement will be gained.
If you get into a thoroughbred filly as a yearling, nominate it for Pearl series. We came 5th and got the 10k bonus where the winner of the race got 2/3s of that.
Not a normal situation to be fair but good for the syndicate.

Looks as though I received duff gen. It was a one off at Riccarton where they paid for first filly/mare home.

Mates of mine won $30k (+ $5k each for the trainer and breeder) when their filly ran 6th in Cup Week in 2013, thanks to the Pearl Series. Only two other paid up Pearl horses in that race and they finished behind my friends' horse.

@Smudge and @Hooroo i would love to hear your thoughts on Bowman's actions in the 1st at Rosehill that caused that fall?
From my admittedly very layman perspective, it was a fucking terrible piece of riding that has resulted in a serious injury to a jockey, and the death of a very promising horse. IMO he should get a huge suspension for that.
