I kind of agree with him, despite his inherent bias and attitude. It was ok, but after 2 hours of the pilot I'm not really sure what it's supposed to be about (aside from the blatantly obvious).

Will keep watching because I'm a sucker for anything music related, but I hope it goes somewhere -

haha, yeah he's got an attitude. I'll still watch, for the same reason as you.

Scorcese does love the post coke snort sweaty head throwI saw enough of that in Wolf of Wall street.

Just finished watching 'Making a Murderer' utterly gripping. Fantastic watch even though I had to take some timeouts in the middle of episodes to calm down, you will find yourself screaming at the tv at parts.

edit
If you do watch it, try to refrain from internetting the case and finding out wjat happens, this way you get the full emotional rollercoaster experience -

TWD
So bit of a f-up by Darryl and Rick, knew that Jesus dude would steal their truck...bad day really, unsure why they didn't just drive both cars back from the place they found it anyway, then they coulda chased him in that, and not have had to go back and pick the car up later.

As for him, clear there is a lot more to him than we know yet, given how he fights, the fact he escaped form the ropes quick enough to get up on the truck. Thing is, that was obvious, he was tied on the left side of the truck, not once did Rick look back to see if he had moved, Darryl was giving him the fingers form his mirror which he couldn't see him in anyway...my brother told me he is in the comics but said I don't wanna know, plus they might not stay true to the comic.

WTF is up with Rick & Michon, has that been going on for a while given the way the ep started or is it new?
-
Yeah, bit of a nothing episode. Stupid actually. Having witnessed what this Harry Houdini dude is capable of, why would they leave him unguarded in that room? Real shame after such a spectacular episode last week.
-
Go I mucked around and got Sky On Demand working, had a look around for something half decent to watch to test it and saw Game of Thrones.

Have only ever seen the first episode, tried to get it on rotation with the wife (we binge watch a show together) and she was out after the Drogo rape scene.

So anyway, five seasons later, it's quite good innit? -

Starting watching a series called No Offence while on a long flight and now have to finish it.

A Paul Abbott creation (Shameless, State of Play) it is a comedy/drama police procedural with a strong female slant. Some excellent writing and performances. One underlying thread of a serial killer but sidetracking each week as well.

Very surprised it hasn't been picked up quickly in NZ by Sky/Lightbox/TVNZ etc as it is the type of show that would get a following very quick.
-

I gather he is highly regarded by Trekkies?
-

Yup. His movies are generally regarded as the high point of Trek, especially with the original cast. -

Watched the first series of Banshee yesterday. It wasn't too bad i guess. Plenty violent, bit of titty, fairly fun low-brow entertainment.

TWD: Am really liking that Jesus dude. First thought he was some kind of demented hippy but he is some kind of super commando. TBH I wouldn't have a problem if they offed Glen this season. He was much more fun as the geeky runner than the jaded war veteran with the 1000 yard stare. The guy I don't want to die is the gay dude who found and brought the group to the settlement. I don't think his partner would survive for much longer without him.
