@ACT-Crusader they were the glory days of auckland club rugby league , where most of the top sides had a few kiwis , game of the round would be at Carlaw Park on a sunday afternoon in front of a healthy crowd,

I can remember Otahuhu having an all kiwi back row of Mark Graham, Owen Wright and Gary Prohm , Richmond having an inside kiwi halves pairing of Shane Varley , Fred Ah Kuoi

Olsen was one of the first of the exodus ,he may have been third ? Dane Sorenson was the first , followed by Kurt ( Mt wellington boys to the Sharks )

we joked, but SBW to the Roosters looks a done deal, as early as this week.

The shit teams had a dig this week. We were way tougher for the Roosters than anyone suspected. The Titans pushed the Panthers all game. And the Dogs beat the Knights.

It's a really even comp, not sure who wins from here now. I thought the Roosters were nailed on, but injuries have hammered them.

I may have slightly disrespected the Panthers' name... (i still fucking hate the Clearys)

what did Geoff Toovey do at Manly that makes him untouchable now?

Apparently the Warriors straight up said "thanks but no thanks"

There are a few ordinary coaches around, and yet he cannot get a gig. I wonder what the story is?

And also it's now reported the Walkers have definitely NOT got the job.

My money is now on David Kidwell...

@mariner4life WTF? Repeating the Kiwis' mistake by dumping Kearney for an even worse coach. 🤣

    Better to stick with Payten.

look, i haven't even heard his name mentioned, but seriously, would it even surprise you a little bit if these inept muppets signed him? It would be the most Warriors thing ever

    Agree there.

To be honest, the last article I read about the Warriors coaching job, focused on who wasn't interested. And that was a long list.

@antipodean That shouldn't be a hinderance - Ricky Stuart still has a job.

@antipodean good point. With all the shit that goes against us, Toovs is likely to explode. It's for his own good

Well after the preceding muppets I'm finding Payton to be good value. I agree with @Bovidae that we could well be better off sticking with him and pumping money into our player recruitment. Getting a better squad could help us recruit a better coach, although there is strong appeal in being able to build your own roster.

Does anyone know what the story with Jack Hetherington is? I realise he's on loan for another few weeks but it'd be great if the Warriors could entice him permanently. Hard as nail, reliable and doesn't give away stupid penalties.

I'm sure if the Warriors hire him permanently, they'll drum that out of him...
