Or they could kick 7 behinds in the quarter

    3-15!!!!

We dominated that quarter and we're still a mile behind

The tigers will comfortably win the flag

We will not be a real contender until we rebuild the forward line

Comfortable win from about the same amount of scoring shots. It's one thing to have heaps of uncontested marks, quite another to score goals.

It’s rare to see two teams have the same scoring shots and one team loses by 40 points!

You can see the foundation is there for the Lions but will need some changes at half forward to capitalise on that transition of very good halfback and midfield play into more consistent forward play and scoreboard pressure.

Tigers looked very good though. Jack looked as comfortable as ever tonight and it’s been hard going for him since the return.

Was a very similar scenario to last years quarterfinal ,

Richmond more efficient, Brisbane left rueing their chances

Very good of the Dees to run Richmond into form a couple weeks back 😞

I would keep Cameron, and probably Rayner. Everyone else is on the trade table. Hipwood is no better now than his first year

Tigers were bloody good. Some of the surges by their young quick midfielders were a joy to watch.

I don’t think Brisbane need to panic , experience comes the more you play ,

Most of Richmond’s premiership players were part of a team people made jokes about because they couldn’t win a final .

I think what has been overlooked with last night , Richmond Disrupted their preferred avenue of attack, took away their centre corridor Play and forced them to go wide , and I think that contributed to knocking the stuffing out of their collective confidence

It was interesting looking at the speed and distance data from the AFL; Lions were marginally quicker on attack, but slower on defence. Tigers really do set up pressure defensively.

absolutely did. But we still managed a fuck ton of inside 50s. What it did show was without our favourite avenue to goal, we struggle to turn opportunities in to points. Charlie Dixon in our forward line might have reversed the result

Richmond were able to play without fear because, the first 5 minutes aside, they were never under scoreboard pressure.

However please do not take this as trying to diminish t that performance from the Tigers. Lynch did something that doesn't happen often, and worked Harris Andrews over in the first half. Those young, quick mids turned the clearances they did win into scoring opportunities in a flash. Their pressure game was there, and they got good run and carry. I was very impressed, and some of those returning players might be lucky to push the kids out.

what Richmond have set up with their two sides is pretty clever , 2 premiership teams playing under exactly identical game plans , so while they may have 6 or 7 out , it probably hurts them less than most sides

new player comes in , knows the system and slots in effortlessly, I guess fairly similar to the Allblacks in the era Pre 2011 .

Phew. I didn't realise we had that game midweek. Solid win. Now we hang about in Adelaide and play North on Sunday. A win in Sunday and we could scrape into the 8, albeit temporarily. This probably indicates an ugly loss to a team below us on the table.

there really is no reason for Melbourne to suck. They have bull midfielders. May is as good a defender as there is (he was huge last night) and Lever is a brilliant #2. Their forwards are okay. They lack a bit of pace in the midfield. I would say they are pretty close to the Lions in most respects, bar maybe Neale being the standout mid over both sides, and Charlie Cameron being a great goal sneak. That would be balanced by Gawn being really fucking good in the ruck.

My multi last night was loaded with Demon players, and luckily a few of them had big 4th quarters.

i feel like Sydney never beat Collingwood

My first ever live AFL game was Swans v Collingwood at Telstra Stadium in i think 2003?. Sat right on the drip line on a wet night, surrounded by Collingwood supporters. It was... interesting. The lovely old couple next to us, who i am sure have a lounge room covered in Magpie commemorative plates, couldn't half throw some abuse when they wanted to.

Pies won easy. It wasn't enjoyable.

                                      Woohoo. We're only down by 4! (Make that 5 .. )

Bed time while there is still hope ... or at least not complete despair

Phew. I didn't realise we had that game midweek. Solid win. Now we hang about in Adelaide and play North on Sunday. A win in Sunday and we could scrape into the 8, albeit temporarily. This probably indicates an ugly loss to a team below us on the table.

                                        First world problems.

I wish we could lose to a team below us on the table.
