Anyone in Aus with Foxtel turn on to 501 NOW.

    You will not regret it.

First match of the '87 WSC at Perth.

    Some super catches Dipak Patel.

And a 2nd last ball result

I recall watching it live at home at Ma n Pa's, home from Uni.

Was just after that Aussie fuck umpire robbed us in the test at the MCG (the ball must have been going under McDermott's stumps ... arrsehole).

Just saw the Req RR at 9. Unherd of in those days. Bastards got close. So glad to see the deflation when they thought they had it won. 🙂

Yeah, around the 35th over I thought they had no chance. Can't believe they got so close. Crowe's batting was sheer class too.

He was such a man amongst boys in the NZ teams he played in. Shame he never had KW, Rossco, BMac, Boult and Vettori alongside him.

Which is annoying me at the moment, we have a pretty good team and no one to play.

Rakheem Cornwall bowls like a dad to a kid in the back yard.

Sir Andrew Strauss? I hadn't noticed that.

Englan unable to defend 328 against the might of Ireland at Southampton
    England all out for 327
Ireland romping home with 329/3 in 49.5 overs.
Mother's side of the family naturally distraught, father's side expected to sober up by about Labour Weekend!

There's another virus at play affecting test cricket at the moment. It's symptoms present as administrators with their head up their own arse.

Like the other virus, this one is another reminder that we put too much faith, give too much credit, to those that govern the things we hold dear.

The Poms and Pakis keep going off for bad light.

No rain, just overcast skies and an astonishing unwillingness to use the lights - even though the players want them.

About the only genuine sporting contest in the world right now, potential worldwide audience and the telecast keeps being interrupted for bad light.
Million dollar light towers watch on in silence.

That's a good look for cricket eh?

All the stringent covid preparations and effort in putting international cricket on in this way, in probably the only country able, and the ICC can't pass an extraordinary permission for lights to be used in August 2020?

    Fucken eggs!

Meanwhile the cricket is fucken grouse! Pakis are trying hard to be patient in typical English conditions. They've got the world's longest tail but an exciting bowling line up. Pakistan 223 for 9 after winning the toss, end of day 2, 2nd test.

The last day's play of the 1st test was classic test cricket. Poms needed 277 with all wickets in hand. The day just see-sawed and just when it looked gleefully like the Pakis would win, Woakes and Butler put on 139 at nearly run a ball, so the baddies won a thriller.🙂

But I digress, fucken bad light in a lockdown pandemic, jesus !😡

    MS Dhoni has retired.

First Indian captain that I really liked.

Legend of the game with an outstanding ODI record.

He only played 90 tests, which shows that even India haven't played that much red-ball cricket in the 2000s.

Beefy is an absolute legend. Will always be one of my all time favourite players. Guys like him and his mate Viv Richards would absolutely dominate even more in today’s era.

Bloody nice fella too, I met him when he was on a speaking tour in the Middle East when my family lived there in 1990. A few years later my old man spotted him at a restaurant in Welly and got him to sign a napkin for me, he was a bit pissed but still remembered Dad from that tour he did.

Ya gotta feel sorry for Flintoff and Stokes having to try and live up to what he did....

It is kind of crazy that being good at cricket gets you to vote on government policies.

I know, definitely a slippery slope. Next we’ll have presidents elected solely due to being rich and powerful.
